  • Patent number: 6655700
Abstract: A shock-absorbing apparatus disposed between a binding and a board has a bottom plate for coupling to the board, a top plate or binding platform to receive the binding, and bearing-biasing assemblies coupled between the bottom plate and the top plate. Each bearing-biasing assembly includes a bearing assembly and a biasing assembly where the bearing assembly is disposed coaxially with the biasing assembly. The bearing-biasing assembly is responsive to mechanical energy encountered by the binding platform or the board during use by enabling the binding platform to swivel or pivot from or move along an axis intersecting a top surface of the board.

  • Publication number: 20020140848
Abstract: A chamber for a surveillance camera that is designed to be mounted inside a larger camera housing. The chamber is sealed and provides a controlled internal environment for sensitive camera optics and internal electronics. A flush mount window is provided for the front lens of the camera, and a sealed feed-through electronic connector is provided for attachment to external controls. Valves for both adding and removing gasses to/from the chamber are provided. In one embodiment, temperature, pressure and/or humidity sensors may be deployed inside the chamber and connected electronically to a display or computer for monitoring and adjustment. In another embodiment of, a heating element is provided to evaporate moisture from the camera lens and/or from the window, and to help control the temperature inside the chamber.

  • Patent number: 6296258
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a shock-absorbing apparatus for use with a variety of snowboards and binding systems. The apparatus includes a binding platform, at least one bearing assembly coupled to the binding platform and the snowboard, and at least one biasing assembly coupled to the platform and the snowboard. Each bearing assembly and biasing assembly are responsive to mechanical energy encountered by the binding platform or the snowboard during use by enabling the binding platform to swivel/pivot from or move along an axis that intersects a top surface of the snowboard.
