  • Patent number: 11591830
Abstract: A striker plate includes a base having a surface for contacting a switch and a wall. At least one support projects from the wall. The at least one support supports the base in a hood inner panel. At least one locking tab extends from the wall. The at least one locking tab engages a cutout on the panel. The support is positioned with respect to the respective locking tab so that the support engage the cutouts. Upon rotation of the base, the locking tab engages the cutout locking the base in place on the hood inner panel.

  • Patent number: 11111944
Abstract: The clip retention assembly includes a base for attaching to a surface. The base includes a body, one or more snaps and a retaining member such that the surface is positioned between the one or more snaps and the retaining member to secure the base to the surface. A cap moves on the body from a released position to a retention position. The cap includes a head, a plurality of second snaps for retaining the cap on the base and a core. The core extends through the base body such that in the cap retention position the core is adjacent the base one or more snaps to prevent deflection.

  • Patent number: 10089798
Abstract: An automotive vehicle has at least one access cover movable between first and second positions and a variable position ajar sensor that senses a position of the access cover. An electronic control unit has a normal mode and a learn mode. In the normal mode, the electronic control unit is responsive to a position of the access cover sensed by the variable position ajar sensor and determines that the access cover is closed when the sensed position matches a stored closed position stored in memory of the electronic control unit and that the access cover is ajar when the sensed position does not match the stored position. In the learn mode, the electronic control unit is responsive to a position of the access cover sensed by the variable position ajar sensor and stores that position in the memory of the electronic control unit as the stored closed position.

  • Patent number: 8374751
Abstract: A motor vehicle impact sensing system for a vehicle that includes a controller that is connected to a pressure sensor that cooperates with a discrete deformable vessel. The pressure sensor is operatively positioned relative to the deformable vessel such that changes in the vessel generate a signal indicative of a pressure change. The signal associated with the pressure change is communicated from the pressure sensor to the controller. If the signal exceeds a threshold, such as where there is a rapid pressure increase in the vessel, the controller initiates one or more safety measures, such as deploying airbags or the like, to reduce the effects of an undesired impact. The deformable vessel and pressure sensor form a sensor assembly that can be located in one or more of various locations throughout the vehicle including its front end, its doors, quarter panels, side panels, and/or its rear end.
