  • Patent number: 11979471
Abstract: A push gateway brokers messages between backend services and client devices connected to the gateway. The gateway includes a plurality of messaging frontend servers, a messaging database, and a plurality of topic servers. The messaging frontend servers manage the socket connections connecting the client devices to the push gateway. The messaging frontend servers may further monitor the socket connections, collecting analytical data on the client devices and the connections. The messaging database is a key-value database that subscribes messaging frontend servers to topics. The topic servers receive publish requests from the backend servers to identify subscribed messaging frontend servers in the messaging database to push messages out to. The frontend messaging servers subsequently push out the message to the client devices subscribed to the topic.

  • Publication number: 20240135187
Abstract: Provided are computing systems, methods, and platforms that train query processing models, such as large language models, to perform query intent classification tasks by using retrieval augmentation and multi-stage distillation. Unlabeled training examples of queries may be obtained, and a set of the training examples may be augmented with additional feature annotations to generate augmented training examples. A first query processing model may annotate the retrieval augmented queries to generate inferred labels for the augmented training examples. A second query processing model may be trained on the inferred labels, distilling the query processing model that was trained with retrieval augmentation into a non-retrieval augmented query processing model. The second query processing model may annotate the entire set of unlabeled training examples. Another stage of distillation may train a third query processing model using the entire set of unlabeled training examples without retrieval augmentation.

  • Patent number: 11959090
Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are insecticidal nucleic acids and proteins of bacterial species. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest including plants, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The pesticidal proteins find use in controlling, inhibiting growth or killing Lepidopteran, Coleopteran, Dipteran, fungal, Hemipteran and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.

  • Patent number: 11945361
Abstract: A ground vehicle for transporting loads comprises a load stabilizer to provide additional stability of the load during transport. The load stabilizer includes a securing arm coupled to a support frame that is coupled to a pad. The securing arm is also configured to movably mate with the ground vehicle. When a load is placed onto the ground vehicle, the load stabilizer is positioned so that the pad contacts the load to provide stability. The load stabilizer is positioned by actuating a motor, such as a stepper motor. The motor stops when it reaches a torque threshold placed on the motor through contact of the load stabilizer with the load. This mechanism allows for a lightweight load stabilizer that minimally affects the center of mass of the ground vehicle, while at the same time, provides a consistent load-stabilizing force that reduces the likelihood of damage to the load.

  • Publication number: 20240104872
Abstract: Various implementations provide a view of a 3D environment including a portal for viewing a stereo item (e.g., a photo or video) positioned a distance behind the portal. One or more visual effects are provided based on texture of one or more portions of the stereo item, e.g., texture at cutoff or visible edges of the stereo item. The effects change the appearance of the stereo item or the portal itself, e.g., improving visual comfort issues by minimizing window violations or otherwise enhancing the viewing experience. Various implementations provide a view of a 3D environment including an immersive view of a stereo item without using portal. Such a visual effect may be provided to partially obscure the surrounding 3D environment.

  • Patent number: 11935102
Abstract: The described implementations enable a seller to sell items through multiple e-commerce channels without having to maintain independent merchant accounts at each channel. For example, a seller may sell items directly and through a management service. When a user request to purchase an item from the seller through the management service is received, the management service sends the purchase information to the seller so that the seller can complete the purchase as if the purchase were being made directly with the seller. Upon completion of the purchase, the seller provides a confirmation back to the management service and provides the item directly to the user.
