  • Publication number: 20220296410
Abstract: A mouthpiece apparatus used to reduce snoring. The mouthpiece includes a body that is sized and shaped for location in a human mouth. The maxillar and mandibular sets of teeth press against two exterior walls that are interconnected by a connecting sidewall. An interior strengthening matrix is located between the inner walls of the body. The inner walls of the body face each other so that the strengthening matrix allows communication between the exterior walls and allows movement of the body when the set of teeth move relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20180197293
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of segmenting an image, representative of an object whose external surface exhibits relief patterns, into a first zone comprising patterns and a second zone not comprising any, the method comprising the following steps: A thresholding step in the course of which the grey level image is transformed into a binary image, A step of evaluating the number of patterns on each line of the image, and A step in the course of which, as a function of the results of the previous steps which make it possible to obtain a number of patterns in the image, a first set of pixels of the image representing patterns is determined.

  • Publication number: 20180137616
Abstract: A method of segmenting a grey-level image of a tire is provided. The image is segmented into a first zone that includes striations and a second zone that does not include striations. In a flattening step, the grey-level image is rendered flat. In a thresholding step, the flattened grey-level image is transformed into a binary image. In a detection step, lines of the binary image that include striations are detected. In an evaluation step, a number of striations on each line detected in the detection step is evaluated. In a pixel determination step, based on results of the detection and evaluation steps, a number of striations in the binary image is obtained and a first set of pixels of the binary image is determined. The first set of pixels represents striations in the binary image.

  • Patent number: 9196034
Abstract: In a method of fast analysis of relief elements featuring on an inner surface of a tire, a three-dimensional image of the surface is captured, and each pixel of the image is assigned a greyscale value proportional to a topographical elevation of a point corresponding to the pixel, so as to obtain a starting image. The image is transformed into an orthogonal reference frame (OXY) in which an abscissa axis (OX) represents circumferential values and an ordinate axis (OY) represents radial values. Each point of the surface, i.e., each pixel, is assigned an altitude gradient value (f(p)) by comparing an elevation of the point with an elevation of a discrete and reduced number of points arranged on a straight line passing through a pixel being considered (p) and oriented in a circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 9189841
Abstract: A tire appearance detection method includes: capturing an original grey-level image of an inner surface of a tire, and transforming the original image into an orthonormal space with an x-axis (OX) representing a circumferential direction and with a y-axis (OY) representing a radial direction; applying a series of filters to the original image, to obtain a multivariate image; splitting the multivariate image according to a predefined tiling in axial and circumferential directions, to obtain multivariate sub-images of the inner surface of the tire; transforming each of the multivariate sub-images into one-dimensional vectors using selected descriptors, to obtain a simplified multivariate image of the inner surface of the tire; transforming the simplified multivariate image into a common reduced factorial space; and locating sub-images of the inner surface of the tire containing an anomaly using a classifier suitable for identifying an area of the common reduced factorial space containing an anomaly.

  • Patent number: 7385505
Abstract: A motion detecting system is attachable to an object for enabling and disabling an alarm flow of electrical current from a power source for actuating an alarm device. The system has a back plate with a substantially flat surface and a magnet freely pivotally mounted thereupon for generating a pivoting magnetic field that pivots with magnet in response to a motion of the object or of the system itself. System is set in an armed state by an electric pulse which causes at least one electrical contact is engaged by magnetic field in a first state to be set as an armed contact. When motion occurs, magnetic field pivots with magnet and armed contact in first state enters second state in which alarm flow is enabled for actuating alarm device. Contacts are spaced such that at least one contact is always engageable in first state.
