  • Publication number: 20240130901
Abstract: A feminine hygiene article comprising a film having at least a first layer and an optional second layer, the first layer comprising at least 25 wt. %, based on the total weight of the first layer, of an ethylene acrylate copolymer and less than 75 wt. %, based on the total weight of the first layer, of a polyolefin is disclosed. The first layer may have a gloss measured by ASTM D2457 at 45° C. below 30% and a drapeability measured according to WSP 90.3 less than or equal to 10.0 gf in both the machine or cross direction. The ethylene acrylate copolymer may contain from 16-35 wt. %, based on the total weight of the ethylene acrylate copolymer, acrylate. A feminine hygiene article comprising a soft film of non plastic appearance but with high tensile strength, low elongation along with high tear and puncture resistance, and high modulus can thus be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20070265824
Abstract: The Diversified Semantic Mapping Engine (DSME) exploits user-defined word and document class designations to differentially formalize the semantic content of a language source. The coordination of these classes, especially when based upon naturally occurring classes in the language, such as part-of-speech, provides a rich, machine readable and automatically generated semantic map of the language source for use in diverse applications.

  • Patent number: 6450167
Abstract: Intrabuccal device includes two shells (2, 3) made of thermoformed plastic material, the first of which respectively covers the superior arch, and the second of which covers the inferior arch of the oral cavity. This device is provided with (rings and arms) (4a, 4b, 13a, 13b) that act on the said shells (2, 3) and can generate a mandibular propulsion force oriented in the direction of the mandibular propulsion and in the posteroanterior sense, so as to keep a shift of the mandible to the front of the maxilla, while allowing lateral movements.

  • Patent number: 6185926
Abstract: An exhaust assembly for a jet powerplant of a supersonic airplane comprising a rear structure fitted with a thrust reverser. The rear structure includes a primary multi-flap nozzle of variable cross-section situated downstream of a primary duct, a secondary multi-flap nozzle of variable cross-section situated downstream of a secondary duct enclosing the primary duct and a fairing enclosing the secondary duct and fitted with a throat downstream of an exhaust orifice of the secondary nozzle, the throat being followed by a diverging portion. The thrust reverser comprises two eyelids affixed in a pivotable manner to the fairing, one on each side to of an axial plane of symmetry. The eyelids are movable between an active, thrust-reversal position wherein the eyelids project transversely into a gas jet downstream of the fairing to deflect the gas jet in a forward direction for thrust-reversal and an inactive, forward-thrust position wherein the eyelids are situated in an extension of the fairing.

  • Patent number: 4977522
Abstract: An apparatus including a measuring head, equipped with light sources for lighting one part of a bodywork of which the color is to be reproduced with a receiver for picking up the light reflected in each of a plurality of preset wavelength in order to produce a signal representing the reflectance of the surface in each wavelength. The apparatus also includes a device for calculating, for each wavelength, the reflectance for any combination of basic shades or bases from among a predetermined set off bases, and apparatus for continuously comparing the measured reflectance with the calculated reflectance in order to find a suitable paint formulation. A starting formulation given by the particular combination of bases corresponding to the color reference of the bodywork to be repaired may be modified, until the difference between the calculated reflectance values and measured reflectance values reaches a minimum or becomes smaller than a preset threshold.
