  • Patent number: 8878160
Abstract: A device includes a semiconductor structure comprising a III-phosphide light emitting layer disposed between an n-type region and a p-type region. A transparent, conductive oxide is disposed in direct contact with the n-type region. In some embodiments, a total thickness of semiconductor material between the light emitting layer and the transparent, conductive oxide is less than one micron.

  • Patent number: 7777638
Abstract: The inventive device comprises telecommunications transceiver interacting with a network for data exchange and a user interface interacting with the telecommunications transceiver for displaying information extracted from received data, wherein telecommunications transceiver is arranged for receiving meteorological data from which a display for the user interface is extracted. Telecommunications transceiver is connected for spontaneously interacting with a station for defining a geographic area and for accessing, in a substantially uniform manner, to a data set containing forecast pluvial/duration pairs which are valid for the geographic area for consecutive periods, the data set being dated by a time marker. The user interface is provided with a range of ordinate display segments, each of which is provided with several display states.

  • Publication number: 20080117041
Abstract: The inventive device comprises telecommunications means (18, 19) interacting with a network for data exchange and a user interface (2, 3) interacting with said telecommunications means for displaying information extracted from received data, wherein telecommunications means is arranged for receiving meteorological data from which a display for the user interface is extracted. Telecommunications means (18, 19) is connected for spontaneously interacting with a station (20) for defining a geographic area and for accessing, in a substentially uniform manner (21), to a data set containing forecast pluvial/duration pairs which are valid for said geographic area for consecutive periods, said data set being dated by a time marker. The user interface (2) is provided with a range of ordinate display segments (5A, 5E) each of which is provided with several display states.

  • Patent number: 5817953
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for rinsing a device for circulating a liquid between a storage tank (1) and a sampling head (2) from a supply pipe (3) to which is connected a motor air pipe (12). The rinsing or washing consists of injecting a rinsing or washing fluid into the supply pipe (3) or into the motor air pipe (12), the latter being supplied with gas during the rinsing or washing of the device.

  • Patent number: 5589590
Abstract: A process for preparing any substance capable of forming a clathrate with a gas may start from a mixture in solution or in suspension of this substance with other components. This mixture is contacted with a gas to form a clathrate with the substance, a precipitate is collected, and the substance is recovered. The invention is especially useful for purifying .alpha.-cyclodextrin.

  • Patent number: 5430823
Abstract: The cassette is mounted horizontally or vertically on a support rail and defines a front action face. One of its compartments is used for storing an excess length of optical cable while its other compartment is used for storing an excess length of optical jumper. The cassette includes a fixed first connection for the cable conductor and a removable cross-connection second connection for the jumper, said connections being mounted separately, substantially on the front action face, and being interconnected by an optical lead which is wound down together with the cable conductor and in the same compartment. The cassette is applicable to a distribution frame for telephones or computers.

  • Patent number: 4298585
Abstract: In a process of making sodium perborate, crystallization is performed in the presence of an organic polymer with a high potential content of free carboxylic groups derived from maleic anhydride, selected from the copolymers of maleic anhydride with an organic compound with an ethylene bond. The process is applicable to obtaining sodium perborate crystals of high apparent density of good resistance to abrasion and of limited, relatively high granulometric size.
