Abstract: Lipophilic quaternary ammonium salicylate, characterized in that it corresponds to the formula: ##STR1## in which: (i) R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be identical or different, denote an alkyl or alkylcycloalkyl radical, optionally substituted or interrupted;(ii) R.sub.3 and/or R.sub.4 denote(s) a group:R.sub.8 [OC.sub.2 H.sub.3 R.sub.7 ].sub.n [OCH.sub.2 CHOH--CH.sub.2 ].sub.pin which 0.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.4 and p denotes 0 or 1; R.sub.8 denotes H or an alkyl, alkenyl, alkylcycloalkyl or alkylaryl radical;(iii) R.sub.4 denotes an alkylphenyl radical;(iv), (v) R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 can form a saturated or unsaturated aromatic or non-aromatic heterocycle;(vi) R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 form polycyclic derivatives with the nitrogen atoms; R.sub.5 denotes a group corresponding to the formula: ##STR2## in which n is an integer varying between 0 and 10.

Abstract: New 2,4-diaminopyrimidine 3-oxide derivatives and their use for the treatment and the prevention of hair loss.The compounds correspond to the formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 denote hydrogen or the groups of formula: ##STR2## with R'.sub.3 =H or R.sub.3, in which R.sub.3 denotes alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl; R.sub.3 may also denote an aryl or aralkyl radical.R denotes alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl capable of bearing an unsaturation or alkyl bearing an aromatic or heterocyclic nucleus.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition contains as an active principle a peroxide having an aromatic radical and a saturated group and having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents linear or branched alkyl having 3 to 17 carbon atoms, substituted or not by one or more halogens, interrupted or not by a carbonyl group and carrying a terminal carboxylic acid group esterified or not or R.sub.1 represents cycloalkyl having 5 to 10 carbon atoms, and R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, halogen, --CF.sub.3, methoxy, ethoxy or acyl having 2 to 16 carbon atoms.The composition is usefully employed in the treatment of various dermatoses including acne.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use of 5-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinones of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which are identical or different, independently of one another denote a hydrogen atom, a methyl, methoxy or nitro group or a halogen atom; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which are identical or different, independently of one another denote a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl, methyl or methoxy group; and R.sub.5 denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl or methoxy group, with the proviso that at least one of the substituents R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is different from hydrogen, if R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 simultaneously denote a hydrogen atom, for dyeing human keratin fibres, in particular the hair.

Abstract: The use in dyeing human keratin fibres, especially human hair, of 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinones of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 denotes a hydrogen or halogen atom, or a hydroxy, alkoxy, nitro, alkyl or acyl group, and R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 independently of one another denote hydrogen or a hydroxyl, alkoxy, alkyl or acyl group, such that at least one of the substituents R.sub.1 to R.sub.5 is other than hydrogen, and if R.sub.1, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 denote hydrogen, R.sub.2 and R.sub.5 cannot simultaneously denote hydroxyl is described.

Abstract: A liquid, essentially anhydrous solution of hydrogen peroxide in at least one organic solvent is employed in therapeutic and cosmetic formulations. The solution contains from 1 to 20 weight percent hydrogen peroxide and less than 1 weight percent water. The therapeutic formulation can be used in the treatment of acne, dermatoses, ulcers and in the lightening and disinfection of the skin. The cosmetic formulations can be used in the bleaching or oxidation dyeing of hair or in the neutralization stage of a permanent wave operation or in the straightening of hair.

Abstract: A peroxide having an aromatic radical and an unsaturated group has the formula ##STR1## wherein R represents linear or branched, mono- or polyunsaturated alkenyl having 5 to 21 carbon atoms or cycloalkenyl having 5 to 10 carbon atoms, n is 1 or 2 and R' represents hydrogen, halogen, --CF.sub.3, methoxy, ethoxy or acyl having 2 to 16 carbon atoms.The peroxide is employed in pharmaceutical or cosmetic compositions for the treatment of various dermatoses, and especially for the treatment of acne.
