  • Patent number: 5795853
Abstract: An improvement is described in the glass cleaning composition a perfume ingredient, a cosurfactant, an alkylolamine methosulfate and water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 21, 1997
Date of Patent: August 18, 1998
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
Inventors: Jean-Pierre Denis, Antonio Minicucci, Michel Julemont
  • Patent number: 5643861
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bleach or disinfecting aqueous cleaning composition which is useful for the removal of grease or tar without any mechanical action. In particular, the instant compositions are derived from three liquid phases which merge together at the tricritical point to form one continuum forming the aqueous cleaning composition, wherein the three phases incorporate at least a polar solvent, a non-polar solvent or weakly polar solvent and a water soluble or water low molecular weight water dispersible amphiphile and the composition contains a bleach and disinfecting agent.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 1995
Date of Patent: July 1, 1997
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Co.
Inventors: Louis Oldenhove de Guertechin, Michel Julemont
  • Patent number: 5004556
Abstract: A non-aqueous liquid heavy duty laundry detergent composition comprising a suspension of builder salt in liquid nonionic surfactant in which the stability of the composition is improved by the addition of small amounts of organophilic modified clay. Stability is further enhanced by grinding the solid particulate matter, including builder salt, bleach and other minor ingredients to a particle size below about 15 microns. The preferred organophilic modified clay is a water-swellable smectite clay in which the metal cations are totally or partially exchangd with a mono- or di-long chain quaternary ammonium compound.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 21, 1989
Date of Patent: April 2, 1991
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
Inventors: Michel Julemont, Germaine Zocchi, Nunzio Mineo, Pierre Fonsny
  • Patent number: 4851141
Abstract: Hexylene glycol alone or in combination with a lower alkanol or another glycol or glycol ether, or mixtures thereof provide a non-aqueous liquid carrier for cationic fabric softeners, especially the quaternary ammonium and imidazolinium cationic compounds, for preparing stable concentrated fabric softener compositions. The compositions may contain up to 60% by weight of the cationic compound and may additionally include up to 15% by weight of a nonionic surfactant. The concentrated compositions disperse easily in cold water and are easily dispensed from automatic dispensers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 23, 1988
Date of Patent: July 25, 1989
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
Inventors: Yvon Demangeon, Michel Julemont, Marie-Helene Fraikin
  • Patent number: 4828723
Abstract: A non-aqueous liquid heavy duty laundry detergent composition in the form of a suspension of builder salt in liquid nonionic surfactant is stabilized against phase separation by the addition of small amounts of low density filler, such as hollow plastic or glass microspheres. The low density particulate filler is added in an amount to equalize the densities of the continuous liquid phase and the dispersed phase. Further stabilization against phase separation under strong vibration conditions is provided by addition of a small amount of organophilic modified clay, such as a water-swellable smectite clay in which the metal cations are total or partially exchanged with mono- or di-long chain quaternary ammonium compound.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 9, 1989
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
