  • Patent number: 7734793
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for seamless transfer of a conference over different media. Initially, a conference is initiated on a first medium with a first set of associated capabilities utilizing a network. During use, a request to transfer the conference to a second medium is received utilizing the network. A second set of capabilities associated with the second medium is then determined in response to the request. Aspects of the conference requiring the first set of capabilities associated with the first medium are then disabled in response to the request. In a similar manner, aspects of the conference supported by the second set of capabilities associated with the second medium are enabled in response to the request. The conference is thus seamlessly continued on the second medium.

  • Patent number: 7289964
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for implementing transaction services patterns. Logical requests are batched for reducing network traffic. A batched request is allowed to indicate that it depends on the response to another request. A single message is sent to all objects in a logical unit of work. Requests that are being unbatched from a batched message are sorted. Independent copies of business data are assigned to concurrent logical units of work for helping prevent the logical units of work from interfering with each other.

  • Patent number: 7139999
Abstract: A development architecture framework manages information that supports a project being carried out by a development architecture framework. Security requirements are defined and the framework is audited to ensure requirements are met. Quality is ensured by obtaining and statistically analyzing measurements relating to predetermined criterion Personnel are trained to improve the quality of the project. The project is managed by generating a plan, scheduling a timeline, tracking the plan, and reporting information uncovered during tracking. A development environment is also managed. Component delivery is coordinated and delivery problems are rectified during the delivery.

  • Patent number: 6954220
Abstract: A system and method are provided for maintaining a security profile throughout nested service invocations on a distributed component-based system. Interconnections are provided between distributed components each having nested service invocations. A user context instance is created upon successful identification of the user. A request is received from the user to invoke a first service on a first component, wherein the first component invokes a second service of a second component, and wherein completion of the second service is necessary to complete the first service. The user context is queried for a unique user identifier. The unique user identifier is compared with an access control list for verifying that the user has access to the first component. The unique user identifier is also compared with an access control list for verifying that the user has access to the second service of the second component.

  • Patent number: 6842906
Abstract: A system and method are provided for interfacing a naming service and a client with the naming service allowing access to a plurality of different sets of services from a plurality of globally addressable interfaces. As a result of the calls, proxies are generated based on the received locations of the global addressable interfaces. The proxies are received in an allocation queue where the proxies are then allocated in a proxy pool, wherein an allocation thread runs on the allocation queue and makes calls to the naming service and the allocation queue replenishes the proxy pool with the proxies. Access to the proxies in the proxy pool is allowed for identifying the location of one of the global addressable interfaces in response to a request received from the client.

  • Patent number: 6715145
Abstract: A system and method, are provided for structuring batch activities for simplified reconfiguration. A series of processing steps is prepared for performing on input objects being streamed into a batch processing system. Each of the processing steps is encapsulated within at least one of a plurality of filters. The input objects are received and processed in the filters. Results are delivered from the filters incrementally during the processing of the input objects for reducing latency and enabling parallel processing. Connectors are utilized for connecting at least two of the plurality of filters each having a processing step for creating a process. One of the two filters is an input filter of the process and the other of the two filters is an output filter of the process. Connectors are also used for connecting input and output filters of different processes for forming a scalable system.

  • Patent number: 6704303
Abstract: Integrating IP telephony and a computer user interface across a hybrid communication network may include the following. Data is transmitted over a hybrid communication system during a data session. Telephonic communication is allowed over the hybrid communication system during the data session. The telephonic communication is routed over the hybrid communication system via a user action. The telephonic communication over the hybrid communication system is limited based on a user profile. The user profile is enforced by rules in an active database that provides seamless cross-location registration without a need for duplicate databases located on different networks. • Patent number: 6697824
Abstract: A system and method are provided for interacting with a user over a network for personalizing a website. A user is identified and information about the user is collected. A profile of the user is built based on the collected information and a plurality of different contents are managed. The profile and the contents are analyzed in order to match attributes of the profile of the user and attributes of the contents. The contents which have attributes that match the attributes of the profile of the user are then selected and delivered to the user.
