  • Patent number: 5968231
Abstract: A device and a method for purifying and decontaminating air uses an exchanger of the cyclone type and furthermore employs a combination of the action of cyclonic centrifugation and the action of at least one path enhancing field. A tranquilizing chamber, which is separated from the cyclone exchanger by a vent, maintains a volume of liquid into which particles and droplets are received from the peripheral wall. To this end, particulates are partially electrified before entering the enhancing field.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 9, 1997
Date of Patent: October 19, 1999
    Assignee: Grignotage, (SARL)
    Inventors: Michel Parmentier, Jean-Charles Weber
  • Patent number: 5792358
Abstract: A method for separating an oil or anhydrous fat in hydrophobic liquid phase into a high melting point fraction and a low melting point fraction. The method comprises a step of tangential flow filtration of oil or the anhydrous fat in hydrophilic liquid phase on a hydrophobic membrane to cause separation of the oil or anhydrous fat into a retentate constituting a high melting point fraction and an ultrafiltrate constituting a low melting point fraction. The method is useful for producing butter with hard or soft texture characteristics.

Date of Patent: August 11, 1998
    Assignee: Union Beurriere, S.A.
Inventors: Michel Parmentier, Bernard Journet, Salina Bornaz
  • Patent number: 5766314
Abstract: A process for the pollution-cleaning treatment of air combines the actions of dehumidification, thermal control, washing of the gases, fixing of the particles, disinfection, spraying and vaporization. An apparatus is provided for implementing the process, and includes a cyclone exchanger or a pseudo-cyclone exchanger which includes a nozzle for injecting a fixing liquid into the inlet stream.

    Assignee: France Grignotage
    Inventors: Jean-Charles Weber, Michel Parmentier
  • Patent number: 4957520
Abstract: A device for removing (i.e., suction, capture and trapping) vapors and products carried by the vapors, for placement above a system for cooking food products in water or oil, circulates the exhaust gases in a cyclone having cooled walls to cause cold-wall condensation of the exhaust gases over the flow path through the cyclone.
