  • Patent number: 9283310
Abstract: In an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus, a user interface (22) has a touch screen for displaying two bar-graphs (24) of pressures in the extracorporeal blood circuit. By touching a bar-graph three alpha-numeric values appear: a reference value (29), an upper safety interval (28) of the pressure, comprised between an upper limit value and the reference valve (29), and a lower interval value (30), comprised between the reference value and a lower limit value. The reference value is a measured pressure value. Four buttons also appear on the display for input of modifications to the upper interval and the lower interval. The setting of the total pressure safety interval is simple and immediate.

  • Publication number: 20080307353
Abstract: A medical apparatus comprises a user interface (30) enabling setting of parameters and a control system (18) for defining on the user interface screen (31) an operating region (32), where working displays are displayed, and a navigation region (33), where navigation keys (35) are displayed; the navigation keys are organized in a multi-level hierarchical structure where each navigation key has a corresponding working display; the control system verifies selection of a key, displays the corresponding working display in the operating region and displays the following keys in the navigation region: the selected key (38), one or more son-keys (139) of the selected key, and one or more ancestor-keys (41). A method for setting the medical apparatus and a software program is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4801990
Abstract: An HgCdTe avalanche photodiode for use at ambient temperature comprises an Hg.sub.1-x Cd.sub.x Te crystal substrate in which x is chosen between substantially 0.35 and substantially 0.5, a PN junction is formed in the substrate with low concentrations in the vicinity of the junction, by impurity penetration from a polished and chemically etched surface and the P zone is illuminated. A guard band is provided around the PN junction. The dark current of the photodiode is less than 0.1 .ANG./cm2 at ambient temperature and the excess noise factor is less than 0.4. The photodiode of the invention is used for detecting signals transmitted along fluorated glass optical fibers, for example.

  • Patent number: 4765863
Abstract: A method is disclosed for preparing a crystalline ingot of Hg.sub.1-x.sbsb.o Cd.sub.x.sbsb.o Te. Before moving a heated solvent zone for progressively dissolving ingot sources and giving rise to a single ingot, an adaptation zone is created from a monocrystalline germ by heating and cooling the solvent in contact with the germ, the ingot obtained is monocrystalline. The method of the invention in particular reduces the manufacturing costs of components such as infrared detectors and avalanche diodes.

  • Patent number: 4272448
Abstract: Aluminum monoethyl-phosphite, useful for the protection of plants against fungal diseases, is manufactured in a continuous manner by first preparing a mixture of phosphite compounds, containing at least 70 mol % of diethyl phosphite, then saponifying and neutralizing such mixture with an inorganic base, at a temperature of 20.degree.-85.degree. C., at a pH of 4.0-8.5, and finally reacting the residual aqueous solution of alkaline metal monoethyl-phosphite, continuously withdrawn from the preceding operation, with an approximately stoichiometric amount of a water-soluble aluminum salt at 70.degree.-95.degree.
