Abstract: The invention concerns the use of fluorinated solvents non-volatile at room temperature in cosmetic or pharmaceutical products. The invention concerns any cosmetic or dermatological product comprising at least a functional and/or active, and/or aromatic and/or dyeing compound, characterised in that said dissolving agent is a hydrofluoroether corresponding to formula: CnFmOCxHy, wherein: the groups CnHm— and/or CxHy— are linear, branched or cyclized and n ranges between 7 and 12, m ranges between 14 and 25, x ranges between 1 and 8, and y ranges between 3 and 17, said hydrofluoroether being a liquid at room temperature and having a boiling point higher than 100° C.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for fractinating essential oils or essential oil fractions, characterised in that it comprises a step which consists in contacting said essential oils with an extracting agent containing at least a fluorinated solvent so as to obtain a fluorinated phase and a non-fluorinated phase and a step which consists in separating the essential oils contained in said fluorinated phase and in said non-fluorinated phase.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for extracting and fractionating fats contained in a raw material, characterized in that it comprises at least a step which consists in using an extraction solvent consisting of at least a hydrofluoroether of general formula (I): CnF2n+1OCmH2m+1, wherein: n ranges between 3 and 6 and m ranges between 1 and 5 and at least a separation step enabling to obtain a raw extract of fats rich in unsaponifiable substances and optionally, in free fatty acids and a insoluble extraction fraction.

Abstract: The invention concerns a cosmetic composition comprising at least an aromatic compound and at least an agent for dissolving said aromatic compound, characterized in that said dissolving agent consists of perfluorinated hydrofluoroether preferably having a total number of carbon atoms not less than 5 and consisting of a perfluoroalkane chain, branched or not, cyclized or not, bound to an alkoxy group, said alkoxy group having a number of atom(s) between 1 and 7, said hydrofluoroether having a boiling point in atmospheric pressure ranging between +15° C. and +100° C. The invention enables the replacement of ethanol conventionally used in cosmetic compositions by at least one hydrofluoroether compound.
