  • Patent number: 6513315
Abstract: The Apparatus for implementing the method of the invention comprises in succession, on the path of the thread (1): an air suction nozzle (3); at least one spray nozzle (4) for spraying a treatment bath; a removal chamber (5) for removing the air and excess treatment bath; and an air false-twist member (6); these four elements preferably forming a single-block assembly. In the spray nozzle (4) the treatment bath is sprayed at high pressure, e.g. of the order of 2×105 Pa to 6×105 Pa (2 bars to 6 bars) in the form of micro-droplets. After the apparatus, the installation includes finishing means (8) preferably consisting in two heater drums (10, 11) having offset axes, with the thread (1) being wound over the drums and moves over them in the form of substantially touching turns.

  • Patent number: 5115630
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for start spinning or piercing at least two yarns of fibers, which process includes forming strands for start-spinning or piecing by introducing a continuous filament into each roving, false twisting the strands, assembling the strands at a given point of convergence, cutting each filament upstream of its introducing point, removing the filament from the strands and twisting the strands without the filament to a twisted yarn. This process serves to overcome the problem of breaking at the start of the spinning. Also by the present invention, the problem of breaking while twisting the assembled intermediate yarns to a twisted yarn is avoided by introducing a false twisting of the assembled intermediate yarns, supplementary to the false twisting of the intermediate yarns, before the last twisting.

  • Patent number: 4351146
Abstract: A process for producing a yarn with alternate twist, which is obtained by intermittently varying the distance which the twist extends back upstream of a false twister. The variation in the distance is produced without braking the yarn and is achieved by means of a blocking device acting intermittently at a point located close to the false twister. The duration of action of the blocking device approximately corresponds to the time taken by a given point on the yarn to cover the distance from a delivery member to the false twister.
