  • Patent number: 10196909
Abstract: The present application relates to a method for producing a housing for an axial turbomachine compressor having a metal sheet with annular rows of stator blades which are welded to the metal sheet. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing or producing a planar metal sheet with a step of machining in order to form blade stumps; (b) welding stator blades of friction to one of the planar faces of the metal sheet, the blades being arranged so as to form parallel straight rows of blades; (c) bending the metal sheet about a bending axis perpendicular to each row of blades, so as to form a half-tube with annular half-rows of blades which are axially spaced apart, and producing annular grooves by rolling; (d) welding annular flanges and axial flanges; (e) application of annular layers of abradable material.

  • Patent number: 9194245
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a process and a device for the orbital friction welding of blades to the drum of an axial compressor. The process consists of holding the drum on a cradle via an indexing table, the cradle being able to pivot and vertically movable so as to present different regions of its outer surface parallel to the plane of orbital motion of the blade. The blade is held in the orbital motion device by a clamping device. The inner surface of the drum is braced by supports carried by a core fixed to the cradle. The drum comprises a series of protrusions which have a blade-shaped cross section. These protrusions form faying surfaces for the blades. The blades have a plate to ensure they are satisfactorily clamped by the clamping device.

  • Patent number: 8932012
Abstract: An axial turbomachine compressor drum rotor stage includes an axis of rotation, a wall generally symmetrical in revolution about the axis of rotation. The wall forms a hollow body and includes a veil and an annular area integrally formed with the veil for supporting a row of vanes. The annular area includes a central part raised in relation to that of the veil.

  • Publication number: 20110223013
Abstract: A rotor stage of an axial turbomachine compressor drum includes a symmetrical wall in rotation around the axis of rotation. The wall comprises a veil defining the general form of the drum and an annular area intended to support a row of vanes, the aforesaid area being integrally formed with the veil. This area has a particular form in that it has an exterior surface delimiting the fluid stream, which is elevated in relation to the veil. This area has a ā€œUā€-shape cross-section, of which the open part is directed towards the axis of rotation. The annular area comprises two wall parts, one upstream and one downstream, ensuring the connection with the veil and being used as stiffeners. They are preferably perpendicular to the axis of rotation or inclined in relation to the perpendicular. The junction of each upstream and downstream wall part with the central part of the support area is at the distance of the corresponding edge of the central part, so as to avoid certain stress concentrations.
