  • Patent number: 6038815
Abstract: A gate movement drive comprises a motor movement unit (11) with linear-movement actuator and a sensing device (14) for detection of an angle which is a function of the gate position. The linear movement actuator (11) has its ends pivoted to respective supports (24,32) designed for fastening of the actuator between a fixed part and a wing of a gate which is pivoted to a rotation axis (23). The sensing device (14) is connected between the actuator and one of the supports (24,32) for detection of the angle of rotation between the actuator and the support.

  • Patent number: 5549033
Abstract: A hydraulic operating device for gate movement comprises a gate pintleing unit (10) comprising a box (11) with rotating support body (37) for a shaft (12) having a first gear (20) integral therewith projecting into the box. The shaft (12) faces at the top a box (11) with one of its axial fixing ends (15) integral with the gate rotation axis. The device also comprises a hydraulic operating unit made up of a drive element (25) consisting of a central body (32) from which project opposed hydraulic cylinders (26,27) in which run respective pistons (28,29). Between the pistons is connected a rack (30) traversing the central body (32) to project laterally therefrom with its teeth. It is thus possible to prepare a gate for future automation by mounting only the box and subsequently inserting therein the operating unit.

  • Patent number: 5334922
Abstract: A method for control of the speed of an asynchronous electric motor by powering the motor with a single-phase sine wave voltage for its running at rated speed, and supplying it with at least one first partialized voltage formed from the sine wave voltage for a half-period or half cycle thereof, for running the motor at speed reduced to a fraction of its rated speed. A device for applying the method including a first power supply applied to the motor with a sine wave voltage for running at rated speed and a second means power supply applied to the motor with at least one first partialized voltage formed from the sine wave voltage for a half-period of the sine wave every uneven number ns of half-periods thereof for running at a motor speed reduced to a fraction of rated speed. Control apparatus sends activation signals alternately to the first and second power supplies upon reception of control signals requiring running at rated speed or reduced speed.
