A deflector is positioned either at or adjacent the outlet opening, the deflector being configured to affect a flow of air across a width dimension W of the outlet opening.     Abstract: An actuator position sensing system for sensing a position of an actuator. The actuator position sensing system includes a first sensor for detecting a position of a first moveable portion of the actuator; a plurality of second sensors each being configured for detecting a position of a second moveable portion of the actuator; and a controller connected to the first sensor and the plurality of second sensors. The controller is configured to calculate a difference between (i) a position of the second movable portion as calculated based upon the data transmitted from the first sensor, and (ii) a position of the second movable portion as calculated based upon the data transmitted from one or more of the plurality of second sensors. A motor is connected to the first movable portion and the controller, and the motor is configured to move the first moveable portion based upon the calculated difference.

    Abstract: A combine harvester including a grain elevator for transporting and elevating harvested grain. The grain elevator includes a paddle loop, a driver, an elevator housing, and a sensor assembly. The paddle loop has a plurality of paddles for carrying the harvested grain. The driver is arranged for driving the paddle loop and thereby moving the paddles upward at a first side of the paddle loop and downward at a second side of the paddle loop. The elevator housing encompasses at least a portion of the paddle loop. The sensor assembly comprises a NIR sensor for detecting properties of the harvested grain and a sensor window arranged for enabling infrared light to travel between the NIR sensor and the harvested grain. The sensor window is embedded in the elevator housing, adjacent the first side of the paddle loop.

    Abstract: A sieve for use in an agricultural harvester includes a framework with a pair of opposed side members, and a first cross member extending between the side members at one end of the side members. A plurality of louvres extend between the pair of opposed side members. A pair of adjustment laths are respectively associated with and movable generally parallel to the side members, with each of the adjustment laths also being connected with the plurality of louvres. The sieve has an adjustment arrangement positioned below the plurality of louvres. The adjustment arrangement includes an actuator and a frame. One end of the actuator is connected to the first cross member and the other end of the actuator is connected to the frame. The frame has a pair of outboard ends with each of the outboard ends being connected to a respective one of the adjustment laths.

The shafts are rotatable about respective rotation axes, and each shaft provided with one or more eccentric portions. The straw walker is rotatably mounted on an eccentric portion of the respective front and rear shafts, so that the simultaneous rotation of the shafts actuates a reciprocating motion of the straw walker. The combine further comprises a pivot frame and one or more actuators, configured to adjust the angular position of the frame by pivoting the frame about a pivot axis oriented transversally to the longitudinal direction. The front and rear shafts are configured to rotate with respect to the pivot frame, so that the straw walker's angular position is adjustable while the straw walker executes the reciprocating motion.
