Accordingly, the second shock absorbing portion (18) is more brittle than the first shock absorbing portion (20), since the second shock absorbing portion (18) is made to have a height greater than that of the first shock absorbing portion (20). Further, the first shock absorbing portion (20) is placed in a vehicle inner side, while the second shock absorbing portion (18) is placed in a vehicle outer side.

    Abstract: An operation mechanism attaches a movable member to a main body to be rotatable between a first position and a second position. The movable member is held in the first position by a locking device. The operation mechanism includes a base attached to the main body, a contact portion attached to the movable member, and a coil spring having one end fixed to the base, and the other end attached to the contact portion for urging the movable member in the first position toward the second position. A transfer track for the contact portion is formed at the base. By the transfer track, after the movable member in the first position is moved to a predetermined position by a force accumulated on the spring, when the movable member is pushed to the second position, the spring stores a force from the predetermined position to the second position.

A sector gear is disposed in a support arm projected from the door. A rotary gear is disposed substantially in the center of the arc of the sector gear. A first gear of the base has internal teeth disposed to engage the sector gear. A second gear of the base is resiliently and displaceably disposed to engage the rotary gear. The door is rotatably disposed along a track corresponding to the first gear via engagements between the first gear and the sector gear, and engagements between the second gear and the rotary gear. A load received by the door in the closed position towards the bottom of the base is absorbed by resilient displacement of the second gear.

    Abstract: A rod holder is provided with a holder main body having a rectangular holding portion therein, and an opening disposed at one side of the holder main body. The opening is enlarged when a rod member is inserted into the opening, and the opening is returned to an original condition when the rod member is held inside the rod holding portion. A window is provided at a side wall of the holder main body, and a rod receiving piece is formed in the window to project inside the holding portion. When a square rod member is held in the rod holding portion, the rod receiving piece can be elastically deformed by an outward pressing force of the rod member to be located inside the side wall. When a round rod member is held by the rod holder, the rod receiving piece engages a lower surface of the round rod member to hold the same. Thus, the rod holder of the invention can be used for holding both the square rod member and the round rod member.
