  • Patent number: 4843670
Abstract: This invention provides a method and an apparatus for direct formation of a stripe pattern on a textile substrate such as sliver. The object of the invention is to dispense with a gill which would interfere with a high-speed feed of said textile substrate and thereby improve the efficiency of coloration. In accordance with this invention, a color supply hollow drum (2) and a color suction hollow drum (3) are vetically juxtaposed and a continuous length of fibrous material is continuously fed between said two drums (2), (3) by rotation thereof. As the substrate material is thus fed, a color composition is supplied from color supply grooves (8) of the color supply hollow drum (2) while it is drawn by a suction force acting in color suction grooves (13) of the color suction hollow drum (3) to cause the color composition to strike through the fibrous substrate material to thereby form color stripes of substantially the same configuration as that of the above-mentioned grooves on the fibrous substrate material.

  • Patent number: 4830125
Abstract: A process and apparatus for automatically weighing and introducing chemicals are intended to automatically weigh the chemicals and introduce the chemicals into a treatment tank; the chemicals are injected into a chemical container and weighted, and then transported to a dissolving tank adjunct to the treatment tank, and then introduced into the dissolving tank. A control means is provided to put under its control the operations of injecting into a chemical container a desired amount of desired chemicals selected from among plural sorts of chemicals and driving a transportments and an introducing means automatically in association with this injecting operation.

  • Patent number: 4202186
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for dyeing a bundle of fibers, such as a sliver, wool top or a synthetic-fiber tow. A bundle of fibers is accumulated into a dyeing can, comprising a main can and an auxiliary can, and, then, the bundle of fibers in the auxiliary can is pressed from above to pack the bundle of fibers in the main can in the compressed condition. Thereafter, the auxiliary can is separated from the main can. Next, a plurality of full packaged main cans are arranged in a predetermined positional relationship which conforms to the layout of the main cans in a dyeing bath and the full packaged main cans are charged into the dyeing bath while maintaining their prepared positional relationship. Then, the dyeing operation is carried out. After completion of the dyeing operation the main cans are taken out from the dyeing bath and are turned over so as to take out the packed bundle of fibers therefrom.
