  • Patent number: 6158985
Abstract: An air fan capable of exhibiting an enhanced waterproof function while being simplified in structure. An end of an outer cylindrical wall of a motor support and that of a blade mounting wall are so formed that the end of the outer cylindrical wall is positioned outside the end of the blade mounting wall and a gap constituting a labyrinth structure is defined between both ends. The motor support also includes an inner cylindrical wall, which is fixedly mounted on an end thereof with a flange member including an annular flange extending outwardly in a radial direction. The inner cylindrical wall has a Length in an axial direction determined so that the annular flange is positioned in proximity to a suction port as compared with an outer opening of the gap.

  • Patent number: 6157104
Abstract: An electronic component cooling apparatus capable of permitting a sufficient amount of air to be fed to an electronic component to be cooled. An impeller which includes a plurality of blades for sucking air from one side in an axial direction of a revolving shaft of a motor is fixed on a rotor of the motor. A casing having a cylindrical cavity defined therein in which the motor and impeller are received is constructed of a peripheral wall arranged so as to surround the impeller and a closing wall for closing an end of the cavity on the other side in the axial direction. The peripheral wall is formed at a portion thereof in proximity to an end thereof on the one side with a lateral discharge port through which air suckedly introduced into the cavity is discharged so that a surrounding portion for surrounding a whole circumference of the impeller is left at a portion of the peripheral wall in proximity to an end on the other side.

  • Patent number: 4448369
Abstract: An automatic tape threading device suitable for use with a tape system including a supply reel and a takeup reel arranged vertically in superposed relation one above the other. The device includes a threading chute allowing a tape payed out of the supply reel to slide downwardly thereon, a tape transporting passage extending downwardly from the lower end of the threading chute and a roller interposed between the threading chute and the transporting passage for changing the direction of movement of the tape and guiding same. An air jet stream is ejected from near the top of the roller toward the tape transporting passage, to as to positively introduce the leading end of the tape to the tape transporting passage.
