  • Patent number: 6861534
Abstract: There is provided a process for preparing a 1,3-dialkyl-2-imidazolidinone by using an alkylene oxide as a first component, using at least one of (A) carbon dioxide and a monoalkylamine; (B) a carbon dioxide compound of the monoalkylamine; and (C) an 1,3-dialkylurea, reacting the first and second components by heating at 50° C. or higher to give 1,3-dialkyl-2-imidazolidinone, characterized in that the total molar amount of a molar feed amount of the monoalkylamine included in the component (A), a molar feed amount of the monoalkylamine part of the carbon dioxide compound of monoalkylamine, component (B), and the double of a molar feed amount of the 1,3-dialkylurea, component (C), is at least three folds of a molar feed amount of the alkylene oxide. The preparation process of this invention uses an industrially readily available alkylene oxide as a starting material and can be suitably conducted with a higher yield in an industrial scale.

  • Patent number: 5709291
Abstract: A device for contactlessly supplying power to a moving body (2) such as a pallet being transported in a predetermined transport passage and carrying a device to be supplied with power while supplying power to the last-mentioned device. An induction wire (14) is laid along the transport passage (1) and a high frequency sine wave current is passed through the induction wire (14). The moving body (2) is provided with a coil (16) in which an electromotive force is produced by the action of the magnetic flux produced by the induction wire (14), a capacitor (31) cooperating with the coil (16) to form a resonance circuit adapted to resonate at the frequency of the current flowing through the induction wire (14), and a power switch circuit connected to the resonance circuit and supply power to the device to be supplied with power.

  • Patent number: 5267173
Abstract: A carriage running control system includes a plurality of readable and writable memory media installed along a running track of carriages. Each carriage is capable of communicating information with the memory media. The running track includes special zones such as curved sections, branching sections, merging sections, and sections including stations. When a preceding carriage is present in one of such special zones, the memory medium disposed at the entry end of this zone supplies presence information to a succeeding carriage to prevent the latter from entering the zone. A detector is disposed at the exit end of each such zone for detecting departure of the carriages and resetting the memory medium at the entry end.
