  • Patent number: 8823783
Abstract: A stereoscopic image display apparatus and method which reduce crosstalk and select either high resolution images or bright images. The stereoscopic image display apparatus includes first and second image forming areas, each area including multiple contiguous horizontal rows. The areas are alternately disposed in a liquid crystal display, and display right and left eye images on the first and second image forming areas, respectively. The display displays the images in a fixed manner or replaces or overwrites the image areas every time a frame is switched, and displays a frame image in which the right and left eye images are simultaneously displayed. When the first and second image forming areas are alternately replaced, according to the frame switching timing, the backlight is controlled to turn on and phase difference states of right and left eye glasses of polarized eyeglasses are alternately replaced.

  • Publication number: 20130300958
Abstract: In a display apparatus simultaneous left and right views with reduced crosstalk provide a stereoscopic image. The apparatus includes a liquid crystal display having first and second image forming areas including horizontal lines, and an optical unit in which first and second polarizing areas, corresponding to the image forming areas, are arranged. Frame images display a right eye image in the first image forming areas, and display a left eye image in the second image forming areas. The image forming areas are alternately switched or, updated every time a frame is switched. A boundary between the first and second image forming areas is moved to replace the first and second image forming areas, which display the right eye image and the left eye image. The first and second polarizing areas of the optical unit interchange phase difference states with each other.

  • Publication number: 20110063424
Abstract: Right and left eye images constituting each frame image are displayed on odd and even horizontal lines, or even and odd horizontal lines, respectively, of a display screen of a liquid crystal display. When the display switches from one frame to the next, the right and left eye images are switched between the odd and even horizontal lines, or the displayed right and left eye images are overwritten with the same images, so that the right and left eye images are interlaced with each other. Each time the right and left eye images are switched between the odd and even horizontal lines, the lighting state of the backlight is adjusted and the right and left sides of the polarized glasses are switched between two retarding states so that the right side is in one retarding state, the left side is in the other retarding state, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 4579969
Abstract: Substituted 1,3-dibenzylureas are represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein X is a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom, a trifluoromethyl group, a methyl group or a methoxy group. These compounds are used as a herbicidal composition comprising at least one of said compounds and a carrier, if desired, together with a suitable adjuvant.

  • Patent number: 4465509
Abstract: Compound of the formula, ##STR1## wherein X is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxyl group, R.sup.1 is a methyl group or an ethyl group, R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or an allyl group, and each of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, independently, is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an ethyl group; provided that R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are not methyl groups simultaneously when both X and R.sup.2 are hydrogen atoms, and compositions containing these compounds exhibit herbicidal activity.
