  • Publication number: 20150308509
Abstract: A rolling bearing includes an inner race, an outer race, at least one row of rolling elements disposed between said races, and at least one first seal fixed to one of the races, wherein the at least one first seal includes at least one sealing lip cooperating with the other race. The bearing further includes at least one second seal fixed to said other race, wherein the at least one first seal includes at least one sealing lip cooperating with said first seal.

  • Patent number: 8668394
Abstract: The ball bearing (1) forms a member for transmitting an axial force and comprises an inner ring (3), an outer ring (4), balls (6) disposed in a raceway chamber (5) formed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and an annular shield (8) mounted on a radially inner edge face (32) of a first ring (3). The inner and outer rings (3, 4) are mounted with freedom to pivot mutually about a point (C1) common to the axes of symmetry (X3, X4) of the two rings. The shield (8) extends from the first ring (3, 4) to the vicinity of a portion (43) of the second ring (4) that is centered on said common geometric point (C1), and the shield (8) has an end portion (83) with a surface (831) that is a truncated sphere centered on the common geometric point (C1) or a truncated cone centered on the axis of symmetry (X3) of the first ring (3).

  • Publication number: 20110303506
Abstract: A clutch-release bearing device includes a bearing having a non-rotating ring, a rotating ring with a rolling portion for supporting rolling elements, a contact portion extending from the rolling portion and radially away from the non-rotating ring, and a guide portion extending toward the non-rotating ring and disposed axially against the contact portion to form a fold, and at least one row of rolling elements disposed between the non-rotating and rotating rings. A wear ring is movably mounted on the guide portion of the rotating ring and is configured to contact the clutch mechanism diaphragm. The ring includes a polymeric body and a stiffening insert configured to stiffen the body, the body having a retaining portion disposed generally axially between the rotating ring rolling and contact portions and configured to axially retain the wear ring in relation to the rotating ring.
