  • Patent number: 6784770
Abstract: An earth leakage detection device (14) includes a housing (52) and an earth leakage detection circuit (114) mounted within said housing (52) for detecting earth leakage in the electrical distribution circuit. A dielectric test switch (115) is arranged between the electrically conductive strap (18) and the earth leakage detection circuit (114). Pressing the button (84) causes said dielectric test switch (115) to stop the flow of electrical current from said electrically conductive strap (18) to said earth leakage detection circuit (114) to protect the circuit (114) during dielectric testing. A lever arm (605), pivotally secured within said housing (52), causes said trip/reset mechanism (116) to actuate the circuit breaker (12) when said button (84) is pressed. The trip/reset mechanism (116) is resiliently mounted within said housing (52), independently from said transformer (182).

  • Patent number: 6733347
Abstract: This system is applicable to the connection and assembly between electric or electronic modules or devices (1 and 2) which are fitted with input and output connectors installed in corresponding bases which are supplemented with protective covers installed on the connector input and output sections proper. The novelty consists of the input connector sections (5) of the module (2) including, reproduced and integrated, the base (7) and cover (8) of the output connector section (4) of the module (1), as a result of which these bases (7) and cover (8) of the module (1) can be changed over to the output connector sections (6) of the module (2), it therefore being possible for this module to be supplied without said base and cover.

  • Patent number: 6705888
Abstract: The system of electrical connection is formed by one or more units coupled to each other, each one of them comprising a conductive piece (1) and an insulating piece (2) in which is housed the aforementioned conductive piece, both pieces (1 and 2) being free-standing which permits the assembly both to each other and also their linking with other similar units without mounting position. The conductive piece (1) has individual end posts (3) extending from twisted segments (4) with opposing orientation. The insulating piece (2) has a slot configuration with its ends prepared with bucket-shaped expansions (8) with an appropriate configuration to house the posts (3), the straight segments (6) of said posts being on the exterior, the insulating pieces (2) having on their side faces protuberances (9) of slot configuration for assembly by sliding insertion of ribs (10) provided on the side of another insulating piece (2) and to permit the coupling between them to form a connector assembly.

  • Publication number: 20030047436
Abstract: This mechanism is planned for tripping an electrical or mechanical apparatus or device, by means of which any type of actuating is performed, including the tripping and rearming means mechanism, the former being designed based on a swiveling lever (7) which is actuated by means of a hammer (6), causing the release of the locking of a trip (12) on a sliding part (16) moved toward the tripping position by means of a spring (25), whilst the rearming means are designed based on a pushbutton (26) to which a cam (29) which, when the pushbutton is pressed, pushes a skid (18) which slides along a ramp (17) of the slide (16), moving the slide along to cause the rearming by the interlocking thereon of a roller (15) pertaining to the trip (12). Said mechanism comprises a module which can be mounted on the device or apparatus on which the application thereof is feasible.

  • Patent number: 5842890
Abstract: A terminal connecting device which is mounted between the head of a screw and a washer and acting as a gasket for such screw. The screw is to be threaded onto a stationary terminal to hold a connecting terminal for an electrical accessory (contactor, switch, thermal relay, etc.). When the terminal connecting device is lifted up, the screw is raised to a position above the stationary terminal, allowing a ring terminal to be placed between the end of the screw and the stationary terminal to make the connection of the ring terminal. The terminal connection can be made without the need to extract the screw from or to disassemble the subject accessory. The terminal connecting device has sliding means, which in combination with other means of the cover of the electrical apparatus, to guide and align the screw in the raising or lifting/ insertion movements thereof.
