  • Patent number: 8546966
Abstract: A fluid flow torque generator unit is composed of an impeller assembly, a housing, and a supporting frame. The housing contains one half of the impeller assembly and is configured to divide the force of the oncoming fluid flow into three components which work together to increase the force on the front of the impellers and to create a suction effect on the back of the impellers increasing torque output. One unit powering an electric generator can produce sufficient electricity for residential or commercial use. One unit or multiple units working together can be incorporated into an assembly that includes a source of compressed air to provide an air flow when the wind subsides, insuring a continuous output of electricity. The basic unit operates equally well in response to underwater currents. The dimensions and number of units are determined by the fluid flow source and the desired output.

  • Patent number: 6715583
Abstract: A device to muffle and purify the exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine. A housing is divided into several chambers with the exhaust gases passing from one chamber to another, each successive chamber diverting the gas flow into an opposing direction. The first chamber is well insulated and contains a series of interconnected axial and equatorial tubes which provide multiple passageways with a large surface area which encourages repeated collisions of the gas molecules with the walls of the passages and with other molecules. While in this chamber the kinetic energy is greatly increased as is the temperature of the exhaust gases causing a break down of polluting molecules. Thereafter, the gases are directed alternately forward and rearward through several open chambers of increasing size which enable expansion and cooling of the gases and reduction of the associated noise. Finally the purified and cooled gases exit the last chamber into the atmosphere and pose no threat to the environment.

  • Patent number: 6576028
Abstract: A device to be interposed within the conduit of a fluid flow system to reduce or eliminate the noise associated with such systems. The device is made up of at least two cylindrical chambers, one within the other. The inner chamber is closed at the top, has a fluid entry port at the bottom, and a plurality of fluid exit nozzles symmetrically arranged about the side wall. The outer chamber is closed at the bottom and has a fluid exit port at the top. The entry port, exit port and inner chamber as well as the fluid flow system conduit have the same internal cross sectional areas. The sum of the cross sectional areas of the exit nozzles is equal to the cross sectional area of the conduit. The addition of a liquid exit port at the bottom of the outer chamber allows the device to also function to separate a gas from a fluid mixture. Multiple units may be utilized within a fluid flow system.
