  • Patent number: 8965226
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an image bearing member; a charging device which charges the image bearing member; a developing device which develops an electrostatic image formed on the image bearing member with toner; a transferring device which transfers a toner image formed on the image bearing member by the developing device onto a recording medium; a separation charge-eliminator disposed opposite to the image bearing member, for separating the medium from the image bearing member after transfer; a current detecting device which detects a separation current flowing through the charge-eliminator; and a control device which outputs a control signal regarding the charge-eliminator based on a first current value detected by the current detecting device with a charging voltage being applied to the charging device and a second current value detected by the current detecting device with a transfer voltage being applied to the transferring device.

  • Patent number: 8096631
Abstract: An image-forming apparatus is provided which prevents irregularity of an image density and improves the life of heating elements. In a half of recording heads (a group of recording heads 22K2, 22K4, 22K6 not adjacent to each other), off time T2 is shortened at a timing of PWM renewal 1; in the other recording heads (22K1, 22K3, 22K5, another group of the recording heads not adjacent to each other) the off time T2 is not changed at the timing of PWM renewal 1 but is shortened at the timing of PWM renewal 2. As the result, in the region corresponding to the timing from PWM renewal 1 to PWM renewal 2, the amount of the ink droplets ejected from the nozzles of the recording heads 22K2, 22K4, 22K6 is decreased to decrease slightly invisibly the image density formed by the ink droplets ejected from the nozzles 22K2, 22K4, 22K6.

  • Publication number: 20090189935
Abstract: A barcode printing device, which forms one image using plural same-color heads arranged in parallel, generates a barcode in which the effect of variations in landing position accuracy, caused by variations in the conveyance, is minimized. The barcode printing device comprises plural line heads 22K1-22K6, which eject same-color ink and are arranged in parallel with each other, and the plural line heads work together to print plural lines configuring each bar of a barcode while conveying recording paper relatively to the plural line heads. In this case, when each of plural bars configuring a barcode is formed by three or more successive lines, the two outermost lines of each bar are printed by one same line head (22K1) of the plural line heads when the barcode is printed. The inner lines between the outermost two lines of each bar are printed by any line heads.

  • Publication number: 20080304891
Abstract: A barcode generation system that generates an appropriate barcode, which satisfies the usage condition of each user, quickly and with a minimum consumption of ink and paper. A test chart is printed on a printing device 200 based on a test chart image 706 provided for printing black bars and white bars of a barcode wherein each of the black bars and white bars has the width of one of a plurality of different numbers of dots, and the output test chart 704 is read by an image scanner 110. An information processing device 100 analyzes the image, which has been read, and generates a relation table 800. In addition, based on information on a barcode type and a narrow bar width, the information processing device 100 calculates, by referring to the relation table 800, the correction values (barcode correction values 707) for the widths of the bar elements constituting the barcode.
