  • Patent number: 10970188
Abstract: A system for improving cybersecurity includes a server configured to define a group of users associated with corresponding user devices, send calibration vectors to user devices, receive actions performed calibration vectors by users, allocate users in the group to one of sub-groups based on received actions, send a set of simulated vectors to user devices associated with users allocated to a particular subgroup, receive actions performed on the simulated vectors by each of the users in the subgroups, define a threshold expertise level for the subgroups, receive, one or more threat vectors reported by one or more users allocated to the sub-groups having the expertise level above the threshold expertise level, update the set of simulated vectors based on the received threat vector, and use the updated set of simulated vectors as training vectors for the each of the users allocated to a particular subgroup to improve cybersecurity.

  • Patent number: 9125239
Abstract: An apparatus and method including attaching a user equipment to a long term evolution system and simultaneously registering the user equipment attached to the long term evolution system to a circuit switched domain, is disclosed. The user equipment is simultaneously registered based on an interface between a mobility management entity and a mobile switching center server. For a mobile originated call from the user equipment attached to the long term evolution system, an enhanced call control is carried via the mobility management entity to the mobile switching center server. For a mobile terminated call, an enhanced call control is carried via the mobility management entity to the mobile switching center server, after the mobile switching center server pages the user equipment. The user equipment is offered existing circuit switched domain services while connected to the long term evolution system.

  • Patent number: 7606907
Abstract: A method connects one of several customer premises equipment (CPE) via an ATM network to one of several service providers (SP). Each CPE is connected to the ATM network via a corresponding network termination point (NT). There is an access server function (ASF), having a permanent virtual connection (PVC) to each NT and a connection to each SP. A tunneling protocol is established on the permanent virtual connection between each NT and the ASF. The tunneling protocol is able to support an integrated signaling protocol. The CPE or its user select selects an appropriate SP by using the integrated signaling protocol. Routing from the CPE to the selected SP is performed by the ASF. The ASF connects the CPE to the selected SP using the integrated signaling protocol.

  • Patent number: 7170892
Abstract: Apparatus, and an associated method, facilitates communication of data frames between elemental devices of a network element, such as an IP (Internet Protocol) base transceiver station of a radio communication system which includes a multi-port interface converter and a router device connected by way of an Ethernet connection. Data applied to a port of the interface converter is formatted into a data frame which selectably includes a Q Tag Prefix populated with a VID (Virtual LAN Identifier) defined in the IEEE 802.1 Q standard. If the data to be communicated by the multi-port interface converter is originated at the converter, the data is formatted into a data frame, but the prefix structure is not included, and therefore the frame is not populated with the VID. When the data frame is received at the router device, detection is made as to whether the data frame includes a prefix structure.

  • Publication number: 20060075134
Abstract: The invention concerns routing of data packets in a header-compressed domain. According to the method described, routing a data packet with a compressed header section and an uncompressed payload section comprises steps of receiving the data packet at an ingress interface, routing the data packet to an egress interface, and forwarding the data packet to the egress interface. According to this method, the compressed header section remains unchanged between the ingress interface and the egress interface. Various implementations of this method are described, including the use of the header compression context identifier (HCCID) by for routing the packets to the correct egress interface. Accordingly, a decompressor and a router are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050102420
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shared network system, sharing method and router device for routing data packets in an IP transport network. Separate dedicated link layers having predetermined dedicated link capacities are allocated for transmitting and/or receiving data packets, wherein the dedicated link layers share an available capacity of a real link layer or physical layer. Thereby, multiple virtual networks assigned to customers can be operated in parallel and managed completely independently. Furthermore, tunneling mechanisms with their associated transmission overhead are no longer required.
