  • Patent number: 8201904
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of providing board containers (V) with prints and a printing machine that applies the method. According to the invention, the printing machine comprises a turret head (2), with uniformly spaced radial arms (3) diverging from its rotational axis, each arm ending in a mandrel (4) that carries a container (1); and stationary stations (5, 6, 8) that are located on the path of the turret head for gripping a container, printing it by a printhead (7, 13), and removing the printed container (V). At the printing station (6), the container (1) is digital-printed by the printhead (7), past which the surface of the container is conveyed by means of a rotational motion. The container can be a conical drinking cup (1), which is ink-jet printed by the stationary printhead (7) by rotating the cup by 360° by means of the mandrel (4) that is pushed inside the cup.

  • Publication number: 20070272145
Abstract: The invention relates to a treatment apparatus of the sliding surface of sports gear comprising at least one treatment web (1), which is arranged to pass from a web roll (2) into a removal space (5) via a first guide surface (3) and a second guide surface (4), and a heating element (6) disposed between the first and second guide surface at a distance from the treatment web. According to the invention, the treatment apparatus includes at least one means (7, 8, 17) for contacting the treatment web (1) with the heating element (6) by moving the guide surfaces (3, 4) with respect to the heating element (6) and/or by moving the heating element (6) with respect to the treatment, web (1), and the heating element (6) includes elasticity (13) so that the heating element follows the sliding surface being treated uniformly and substantially with a standard pressure.

  • Publication number: 20060010664
Abstract: A method and an arrangement in processing a fibre-like product. When the first product (3a) ends a new product (3b) is guided to a process unit and further through it. The new product (3b) is guided to be ready in the vicinity of the unit. The invention comprises a gripping unit (14) having a backing surface (15) with a curved portion. The new product (3b) is arranged to be pressed against the surface (15). When the first product (3a) ends the locking between the new product (3b) and the curved portion of the surface (15) and the portion in front thereof is released first, whereby the new product (3b) straightens out and the first end of the product (3b) moves on. Only thereafter the locking is released for other portions of the surface, whereby the tail end of the first product (3a) draws along a new product (3b) at a speed equal to that of the line.

  • Patent number: 6534122
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement in connection with coating of an optical fibre, in which a first fibre (3a) is directed from a fibre pay-off forward in the process via a press head (2a) forming the coating, and when the first fibre (3a) ends, a new fibre (3b) is directed to the press head (2a) in advance, and when the first fibre (3a) ends, a roll device (7) grips both the first fibre and the new fibre so that both fibres (3a, 3b) are caught between freely rotating rolls (7a, 7b) of the roll device (7), whereupon the tail of the first fibre (3a) makes the rolls (7a, 7b) of the roll device rotate, and the rotational movement of the rolls pushes the new fibre (3b) to the press head (2a) at a speed equal to that of the line.
