  • Patent number: 11965770
Abstract: The invention relates to a suspendable scale for weighing a bundle, comprising: a first part for suspending the scale from a structure; a second part for suspending an implement from the scale; a third part joining the first part and second part, the first part, second part, third part being at least partly radially nesting relative to one another; at least two strain gauges connected to the third part; a wireless transmitter for sending the measurement data to an operator; a self-powered power supply for feeding an electric current to the strain gauges and the wireless transmitter; a first space formed in the scale to integrate the wireless transmitter inside the scale; and a second space to integrate the power supply inside the scale. The invention also relates to an arrangement for hoisting a bundle.

  • Publication number: 20170098934
Abstract: A surge arrester of an airfield lighting system, wherein the airfield lighting system includes a primary circuit having a plurality of transformers with primary windings and secondary windings, the primary windings of the transformers being connected in series in the primary circuit and at least one of the secondary windings of the transformers is adapted to feed electric power to a secondary circuit having an illumination device of the airfield lighting system, wherein the surge arrester includes a hermetically sealed enclosure for protecting the circuitry of the surge arrester and connectors for electrically connecting the surge arrester to the secondary circuit, the surge arrester being adapted to provide a low impedance current path to ground for excessive voltages.

  • Patent number: 6460156
Abstract: In a data transmission method and system, user signals are transmitted wirelessly, and a maximum delay for the system has been defined. The system includes circuitry at the transmitting end for sequentially performing an outer and inner coding on the signals to be transmitted, and circuitry for performing a first interleaving after the outer coding. The interleaving length of the first interleaving is chosen within the scope of the maximum delay defined for the system. To ensure improved performance, the system includes circuitry for performing a second interleaving after the inner coding, and the interleaving length of the second interleaving is substantially equal to the interleaving length of the first interleaving.

  • Patent number: 6064663
Abstract: A method and apparatus for varying the data transmission rate of a code division multiple access (CDMA) telecommunications system. The method and apparatus may be implemented into an existing system operating according to a standard designed for a base data transmission while utilizing the Walsh modulator length, the data transmission frame structure, the channel encoding scheme, or the I/Q modulation level of the existing system. Serial data is input to a transmitter/modulator at a data rate which is higher than the base data transmission rate. The serial data is received over a time period having a duration equal to the duration of the transmission frame and demultiplexed into a plurality of sets of input data. Each of the plurality of sets of input data is then processed in one of a plurality of subchannels using the system channel encoding and interleaving scheme to generate a plurality of sets of processed data.

  • Patent number: 5999817
Abstract: A method for performing encoding in a cellular network includes, in each cell, at least one base station communicating with terminal equipment within its coverage area, and a mobile switching center controlling the operation of the base stations. In order to improve the transmission quality over a connection between two terminal equipment, when the mobile switching center detects, during call set-up or handover, that the call is between two terminal equipment located within the area of the mobile switching center, the mobile switching center guides the transcoders of base stations communicating with the terminal equipment to a mode in which the transcoders adapt the rate to fit the transmission network, but do not encode the speech signal.
