  • Publication number: 20120067215
Abstract: The present invention provides regenerable pleated media and filter elements and combinations thereof for use in a clean room environment for removal of airborne molecular contamination. Disclosed is a pleated filter media for a clean room environment wherein the pleated filter media comprises at least an adsorbent first layer of activated carbon or polymer wherein said activated carbon or polymer together with fibers and/or an adhesion agent is enclosed between two second layers of non woven with a grid positioned on at least one side of either of the second layers or incorporated in the first layer for preventing deformation of the pleated filter media when regenerated by a heated air flow above 100° C. at 1 atm.

  • Publication number: 20120040547
Abstract: An implantable lead has a distal lead portion with at least one electrode electrically connected to a connector ring through a conductor running in a lumen of the lead. A proximal lead portion includes the connector ring, a connector pin and a connector coupling mechanically and coaxially connected to each other with the connector coupling as a bridging element. A rotational lock in the form of a circumferential element of an elastically deformable, flexible material is provided in the connector coupling in the interface between the coupling and the connector ring. This rotational lock prevents any rotation of the connector pin to be propagated into a rotation of the connector coupling and consequently reduces the risk of damages to internal lead components due to any such unintentional coupling rotation.

  • Publication number: 20120035693
Abstract: A medical implantable lead is adapted to be implanted into a human or animal body for monitoring and/or controlling of an organ inside the body, and has in a distal end, a combined fixation means and electrode member in form of a helix, which is rotatable in relation to the lead and extendable out from the distal end by rotation of a tubular torque transferring member. The helix is electrically connected to a connector in the proximal end by at least one electrically conducting wire, which is formed as an electrically conducting coil, which is separate from the tubular torque transferring member and that includes one or more individual wires each having an electrically conducting wire core and a surrounding electrically insulating layer. The tubular torque transferring member has no electrically conducting function to or from the helix.

  • Publication number: 20120022356
Abstract: A medical implantable lead is adapted to be implanted into a human or animal body for monitoring and/or controlling of an organ inside the body. The lead has in a distal end, a combined fixation means and electrode member in form of a helix, which is connected to a rotatable tubular member being connected to a rotatable member at a proximal end of the lead, and which is rotatable in relation to the lead and extendable out from the distal end, by rotation of the control member and the tubular torque transferring member, to be able to fixate the distal end of the lead to the organ by being screwed into the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20100318147
Abstract: An implantable medical system for delivering pacing pulses to HIS bundle of a heart of a patient when implanted in said patient includes a medical lead, which is adapted to be attached with a distal end to tissue of said heart, including a at least two electrodes arranged being electrically separated from each other. The implantable medical device connectable to the medical lead includes a pacing circuit adapted to deliver the pacing pulses to said heart via the medical lead, a selection device connected between the pacing circuit and the electrodes adapted to selectively activate at least one of said electrodes, and a processing device adapted to control the selection device to selectively activate at least one of the electrodes to direct the pacing pulses to the HIS bundle.

  • Publication number: 20100037457
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing active fixation helices for the stimulation and/or sensing of organs, an elongated helix precursor body is produced that has one or more electrical conductors surrounded by an insulating material. This helix precursor body is then shaped into a helix, material removed in predetermined places in order to expose the areas of the conductors which will be used as electrodes in the final product. The body is coated with an electrically conducting biocompatible coating which is subsequently partly removed in continuous loops from around the electrodes in order to electrically insulate them from each other and to ensure that the electrically active areas of the electrodes are of the correct dimensions.

  • Patent number: 7621989
Abstract: A pleatable filter structure for use in a filter panel, containing ion exchange particles distributed within a fibrous framework is expanded to contain enough space to allow the ion exchange particles to swell or to be in a swelled state as compared to dry ion exchange particles, without additional expansion of the filter structure. A method of manufacturing the filter structure involves subjecting the filter structure to a moisture treatment in which it is exposed to a humid or water containing environment, whereby the ion exchange particles swell and cause a permanent expansion of the filter structure.
