  • Publication number: 20040034973
Abstract: The cord securing device has a housing device in operative engagement with a sliding device. The housing has an opening (6B) defined therein and the sliding device has an opening (6C) defined therein. A cord portion (4A) of the cord extends through both the opening (6B) and the opening (6C) and along an upper surface (500) of the housing. The sliding device has a first securing edge 9 and a second securing edge 14 at the opening (6C). The edges 9, 14 bear against the cord to hold the cord to the sliding device as a pulling force F2 urges the sliding device in a first direction and a pulling force S1 urges the cord portion (4A) in a second direction. The cord urges a lower sliding surface 1C of the housing against an upper sliding surface 2C of the sliding device while permitting the sliding device to slide within the housing.

  • Publication number: 20020029439
Abstract: The cord securing device comprises at least one housing (1) and at least one sliding device (2). The sliding device (2) is slidingly arranged within said housing (1), at least one wall part (1A) of said housing (1) having a first through hole (6B). The sliding device (2) has a second through hole (6C), said first and second through holes (6B, 6C) forming a passage (6) for a cord (4). The first and second through holes (6B, 6C) provide a first and a second securing edge (9, 14) which interact for securing said cord (4) within said cord securing device. The device is characterized in that one of said through holes is arranged so as to provide a freely interacting a lever arm (L0) of substantial length (L1), in order to produce an adaptive interaction for securing of said cord (4) which is related to the force (S1) that is applied to a first outer part (4A) of said cord (4).
