Publication number: 20230392675Abstract: A differential gear unit includes an annular ring gear having a rotational axis in an axial direction; side gears respectively distribute torque to drive shafts; differential pinion gears are rotatably arranged on a pinion pin, where the pinion gears respectively engage the side gears. A decoupling element inside the ring gear is rotatably arranged in relation to the ring gear. The pinion pin is connected to and extends diametrically across the decoupling element. A clutch sleeve slides relative to the ring gear and the decoupling element. The clutch sleeve, upon axial displacement, disconnects the ring gear from the decoupling element in a first position, allowing rotational movement of the decoupling element relative to the ring gear; connects the ring gear to the decoupling element in a second position, preventing the rotational movement of the decoupling element; and connects the ring gear to a park-lock structure in a third position.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2023Publication date: December 7, 2023Inventors: Fredrik ENGLUND, Mikael MOHLIN

Patent number: 8104366Abstract: A double-clutch transmission is provided that includes, but is not limited to an inner input shaft inside an outer input shaft. Two clutch discs are connected to the inner input shaft and the outer input shaft, respectively. A first layshaft and a second layshaft are spaced apart from the inner input shaft and arranged in parallel to the inner input shaft. One or more of the two layshafts comprise a fixed output gearwheel for outputting a drive torque. Gearwheels are arranged on the shafts. The gearwheels comprise six gearwheel groups for providing six forward gears and one reverse gear. Each of the gearwheel groups comprises a first fixed gearwheel on one of the inner input shaft meshing with one of the idler gearwheels on one of the first layshaft, the second layshaft, or the third layshaft. Furthermore, a second fixed gearwheel meshes with a second gear idler gearwheel and a fourth gear idler gearwheel.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2009Date of Patent: January 31, 2012Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Mathias Remmler, Markus Rockenbach, Axel Geiberger, Mikael Mohlin

Publication number: 20110088509Abstract: A double-clutch transmission includes, but is not limited to two input shafts and three layshafts that are parallel to each other. One or more of the layshafts comprises a pinion that meshes with an output gearwheel on an output shaft. Gearwheels are arranged on the shafts and the shafts comprise seven gearwheel groups for providing seven sequentially increasing forward gear speeds. Each of the gearwheel groups comprises a fixed gearwheel on one of the input shafts, meshing with an idler gearwheel on one of the layshafts. One or more coupling devices of the double-clutch transmission is mounted on one of the layshafts to selectively engage one of the idler gears for outputting these seven gear speeds. Especially, the pinion comprises a first pinion mounted on a first layshaft via a bearing.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2010Publication date: April 21, 2011Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS, INC.Inventors: Mikael MOHLIN, Axel GEIBERGER, Mathias REMMLER, Markus ROCKENBACH
