  • Patent number: 11813449
Abstract: A system and method of implanting pacing lead in a patient's heart. The system may include a catheter configured to by inserted through the coronary sinus ostium such that the distal end region of the catheter is positioned past the anterolateral vein and proximate at least one septal perforating vein. The catheter is configured to inject contrast proximate the septal perforating vein to identify an implant region for a pacing lead. Further, a controller is configured to deliver pacing therapy to the implant region.

  • Publication number: 20230255654
Abstract: A tool includes a handle, a plunger actuator proximate the handle, a shaft extending from the handle, a plunger, an engagement mechanism. The shaft includes a proximal end and a distal end, and the shaft defines a channel extending along a length of the shaft. A first actuation of the plunger actuator causes the plunger to translate along the length of the shaft in a distal direction. A second actuation of the plunger actuator causes the plunger to translate along the length of the shaft in a proximal direction. The engagement mechanism is disposed on the distal end and is configured to engage an implantable medical device, and release the implantable medical device in response to the plunger exerting a contact force on the implantable medical device exceeding a reaction force of the engagement mechanism when the plunger translates along the length of the shaft in the distal direction.

  • Publication number: 20230149721
Abstract: A method includes detecting, by an implantable medical device (IMD), attachment to the IMD of at least one implantable medical lead with at least one electrode; and triggering by the IMD, based on the detecting of the attachment to the IMD of the at least one medical lead, a device test sequence in which the IMD performs the following qualification tests over an evaluation period: detecting an impedance for at least one electrical path that includes the at least one electrode to determine a connection status of the IMD to the at least one electrode; and comparing EGM (electrogram) amplitudes of the patient over an EGM test period against a predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220401741
Abstract: A medical having a motion sensor is configured to set an atrial event sensing parameter used for sensing atrial event signals from a motion signal produced by the motion sensor. The medical device sets an atrial event sensing parameter by applying a sensing window during each one of multiple ventricular cycles, determining a feature of the motion signal during the sensing window for at least a portion of the ventricular cycles, and setting the atrial event sensing parameter based on the determined features. The medical device may sense the atrial event from the motion signal according to the atrial event sensing parameter.
