  • Patent number: 3986214
Abstract: A surgical method of fixation of artificial eye lenses formed as an optic lens with supporting members intended for being passed through apertures in the periradicular zone of the iris, which comprises perforating apertures for said supporting members by means of a focused laser beam, incising the anterior chamber of the eye, removing the opacified eye lens, implanting an artificial lens, and applying surgical sutures.

  • Patent number: 3971382
Abstract: A method of non-surgical treatment of soft and membraneous cataracts, including congenital cataracts, said method comprising the step of cutting the anterior capsule of the lens and/or pupillary membrane without perforating injury to the eye wall with a laser beam, caused to pass through the cornea, the anterior chamber of the eye and pupil, and then be focused onto the anterior capsule of the lens and/or pupillary membrane to thus form at least one hole through which the cataract substance is thus let out of the lens capsule/soft cataract/into the anterior chamber of the eye where the substance is gradually dissolved.

Date of Patent: July 27, 1976

  • Patent number: 3943931
Abstract: A goniolens is defined as an oblique-truncated cylinder. The base of the cylinder has a concave surface to ensure complete contact thereof with the cornea of the eye. The truncated surface of the cylinder is convex and its curvature radius is equal to 8.5 mm. The angle confined by a planes of the concave and convex surfaces ranges from 20.degree. to 60.degree., which makes it possible to focus the laser beam in the corner of the anterior segment of the eye during laser goniopuncture.
