  • Patent number: 7240574
Abstract: A sensor carrier for an in-tube inspection scraper has setting places for installation of monitoring sensors responsive to any diagnostic parameters of a pipeline being inspected. The carrier includes a set of kinematically interconnected sensor supports that are subjected to an elastic force in the radial direction from the carrier axis. The supports are made as elastic ring-shaped elements or as rows of interconnected elements adjoining the pipe wall or are fixed on elastic components such as rings or sectors of sleeves, and/or are connected to a housing capable of bending. Installed on the supports between the sensors and the internal surface of the pipeline are elastic gaskets. The carrier allows one to increase the efficiency of the flaw detection in pipelines having defects of geometry in the cross section.

Date of Patent: July 10, 2007
    Assignee: Caleste Hills Trading Limited
Inventors: Uriy A. Sapelnikov, Boris V. Kozyrev, Mikhail S. Matveev, Dmitry G. Chernov, Vladimir N. Eliseev

  • Patent number: 4132631
Abstract: A process for petroleum refining to obtain petroleum products having a reduced content of sulphur, oxygen-and nitrogen-containing compounds which comprises introducing into the petroleum during distillation volatile and nonvolatile carbonyl compounds of transition metals selected from the group consisting of Cr, V, Mo, W, Mn, Re, Fe, Co, Ni in amounts of from 0.02 to 0.2% by weight of the petroleum at a temperature ranging from 150.degree. to 350.degree. C under a pressure of from 1 to 7 atm abs. and distilling the petroleum into the desired products.Gasoline and kerosene resulting from such processing have a 5 to 10 times reduced content of mercaptan sulphur and 2 to 10 times reduced total sulphur content, as well as a reduced content of gums.
