  • Publication number: 20240128294
Abstract: An image reading device includes a plurality of light receiving parts arrayed regularly, a first light blocking member including a plurality of first openings arrayed corresponding respectively to the plurality of light receiving parts, and a plurality of microlenses arrayed corresponding respectively to the plurality of first openings. Each light receiving part included in the plurality of light receiving parts includes a plurality of light receiving pixels arrayed in a first direction as a main scanning direction. Each microlens included in the plurality of microlenses is object side telecentric. The plurality of microlenses, the first light blocking member and the plurality of light receiving parts are arranged so that light reflected by an object and passing through the microlens and the first opening corresponding to the microlens enters the plurality of light receiving pixels included in the light receiving part corresponding to the first opening.

  • Patent number: 11748852
Abstract: A first group of interpolation calculators performing interpolation by mean preserving interpolation calculation, and a second group of interpolation calculators performing interpolation by interpolation other than the mean preserving interpolation calculation are provided. Each of the interpolation calculators performs interpolation calculation for the missing pixel to calculate an interpolation candidate value (M(h)), and calculates test interpolation values (M(t)) treating pixels in a vicinity of the missing pixel as test pixels. A decider (4) selects one of the plurality of interpolation calculators based on results of the test interpolation. An outputter (5) selects the interpolation candidate value outputted from the interpolation calculator selected by the decider (4), among the plurality of interpolation candidate values (M(h)), and outputs the selected interpolation candidate value.

  • Patent number: 11706364
Abstract: A signal processing device (10) uses first characteristic data detected from a sheet-like detection target by a first detection element (1) and second characteristic data detected from the detection target by a second detection element (2) and having (i) a characteristic that is different from a characteristic of the first characteristic data and (ii) a correlation with the first characteristic data. The signal processing device (10) includes an evaluation value generator (3) that generates, by using the correlation with the second characteristic data, an evaluation value determining whether the first characteristic data includes an unnecessary portion, and a correction amount determiner (4) that determines, by using the evaluation value, for correction of data determined by the evaluation value generator (3) to be the unnecessary portion, a correction amount for the first characteristic data.

  • Patent number: 11647141
Abstract: There are provided a line sensor (110) including two first sensor pixel rows (111a, 111b) and a second sensor pixel row (112a); an image obtaining unit (140) to obtain, from electrical signals obtained by scanning an original in a sub-scanning direction with the two first sensor pixel rows (111a, 111b), two first read image data items, and obtain, from electrical signals obtained by scanning the original in the sub-scanning direction with the second sensor pixel row (112a), a second read image data item; and an image processor (150) to incorporate one or more pixel data items of one or more pixels included in an interval between the two first sensor pixel rows (111a, 111b) out of the second read image data item into the two first read image data items, thereby generating a line image data item in which the one or more pixels in the interval are not vacant.
