Abstract: A system for controlling the stopping sequence of a plurality of weaving machines under emergency conditions and a method for the same are disclosed. The system includes a preference control circuit which upon receipt of high and low priority emergency signals from detectors activates a brake actuator to stop the associated weaving machine under the emergency condition of high priority which calls for immediate action, while introducing a delay to the corrective action to be taken in respect of the weaving machine under the emergency condition of low priority not requiring immediate action.

Abstract: Catch yarns are drawn between a pair of rotatable members which are mounted to be movable toward and away from another and yieldably urged to come together. Detecting means detects the relative movement between the pair of rotatable members and produce an alarm-signal when the relative movement of one rotatable member away from another reaches a predetermined increased value.The catch yarns in tensioned state are further utilized to hold the detecting means at a rest position thereof. The detecting means also produces an alarm-signal upon the breakage of the catch yarns.

Abstract: When weaving, movable and stationary discs grasp or grip intermittently the weft yarn therebetween. One of the discs has at its contacting surface a circular recess encircled by a bank. The ridge of the bank contacting the flat surface of the other disc does the gripping.
