  • Publication number: 20190346475
Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a liquid handling system for dispensing a liquid sample from a tip. The system comprises a light source configured to project a first beam of light via a first optical path that interacts with the tip or its contents, and further configured to direct a second beam of light via a second optical path that does not interact with the tip and its contents; a first detector configured to detect the first beam of light; a second detector configured to detect the second beam of light; an analysis unit configured to analyse a state of the tip on the basis of signals obtained from the first and second detectors; wherein the second detector is a normalization detector configured to measure intensity of the light source.

  • Publication number: 20150129269
Abstract: An impact device and a method of dismounting an impact device from a breaking device is disclosed. The impact device includes a bush having a percussion piston disposed therein. The impact device is arranged inside an impact device space formed in a frame of a breaking device. The percussion piston is provided with a pull shoulder allowing a dismounting force in a return direction to be transmitted from the percussion piston to the bush. Thus, the bush is extracted from the frame by means of the percussion piston.

  • Patent number: 8719391
Abstract: A system, server, method, and computer program product are disclosed for facilitating the creation of push messages pertaining to context dependent services and managing their delivery to mobile wireless devices having diverse routing, scheduling, and context or event-triggering requirements. A web-based interface is presented on an administrator console for defining profiles specifying content delivery characteristics for a plurality of mobile wireless devices. The profiles can include a recipient characteristic, a message delivery mode characteristic, and a bearer characteristic. A Service Manager is coupled to the web-based interface and to a plurality of access points, for pushing a message via a specified bearer, using a specified delivery mode, to one of the plurality of mobile wireless devices of a specified recipient satisfying one of the defined profiles of content delivery characteristics when the one device is located within a coverage area of one of the plurality of access points.

  • Patent number: 7162535
Abstract: Methods and arrangements are disclosed for transferring digital data over a limited speed communications link between a client side subarrangement (401) and a server side subarrangement (402). Within the client side subarrangement (401), a client application (411, 502) receives and transmits digital data using a first communications protocol stack (412, 503, 504, 505) and, within the server side subarrangement (402), a server application (426, 572) receives and transmits digital data using the first communications protocol stack (425, 573, 574, 575). Digital data is transferred between the client application (411, 502) and the server application (426, 572) through a client proxy (511) within the client side subarrangement (401) and an access gateway (551) within the server side subarrangement (402).
