  • Publication number: 20240056328
Abstract: To optimize audio quality of playback with other audio in calls established using an audio-visual conferencing service, at least two audio profiles for one or more audio playback devices connectable to the apparatus are maintained for the audio-visual conferencing service. The at least two audio profiles comprise a first audio profile for at least transmitting audio of a first quality for playback and a second audio profile for at least transmitting audio of a second quality for playback. It is allowed to change an active audio profile during a call established using the audio-visual conferencing service by switching the active audio profile between at least the first audio profile and the second audio profile. The received audio in the call is delivered to the audio playback device according to the active audio profile.

  • Publication number: 20230011986
Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring audio output is disclosed. The apparatus may comprise means for providing one or more primary audio signals based on signals from one or more first microphones associated with an audio capture device and providing one or more secondary audio signals based on signals from one or more second microphones associated with an audio monitoring device, the audio monitoring device being separate from the audio capture device and configured for output of the one or more primary audio signals and the one or more secondary audio signals through one or more loudspeakers. The apparatus may comprise means for modifying one or both of the primary and secondary audio signals such that output of the one or more primary audio signals are distinguished over output of the one or more secondary audio signals.

  • Patent number: 11330151
Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer program product for receiving captured visual information comprising a representation of an object, receiving captured audio information associated with the object, determining a user awareness parameter indicating a level of user comprehension of a context of capturing the visual information and the audio information and selecting, based on the user awareness parameter, a type of synchronization of the captured audio information with respect to the captured visual information.

  • Publication number: 20210375282
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure relate to an apparatus that provides a decimator for audio signals. The apparatus comprises means for: receiving one or more audio input signals and applying a multi-stage decimation process to the one or more audio input signals wherein the multi-stage decimation process comprises at least a first branch and a second branch. The apparatus also comprises means for applying audio signal analysis to the one or more audio input signals. The audio signal analysis extracts at least one audio signal parameter from the one or more audio input signals and is performed on the output of the first branch of the multi-stage decimation process. Use of the second branch of the multi-stage decimation process is dependent upon the outcome of the audio signal analysis.

  • Publication number: 20210368107
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for generating audio signals according to visual content. Bokeh refers to a blurring of areas in a photograph or video that are in front of or behind a visual focal plane. Microphones in different positions in the environment of the captured visual content may be mixed according to their positions relative to a visual focal plane of the visual content to generate audio signals. Audio signals may be generated further dependent on a visual effect applied to captured content.

  • Publication number: 20140049516
Abstract: A touch panel (10) includes a first planar substrate (30) for receiving tactile contact from one or more objects. The first planar substrate (30) is operable to guide light radiation (310) therein by total internal reflection (TIR), wherein electronic circuits (220) are provided to transmit and detect the light radiation (310) guided within the first planar substrate (30) and to detect spatial positions of the tactile contact (40) of the one or more objects by a corresponding disturbance in the light radiation (310) propagating within the first planar substrate (30). The electronic circuits (220) are implemented by way of printed and/or deposited electronic elements onto at least one of: a trim (200) of the touch panel (10), the first planar substrate (30), a second planar protective substrate (20) which is operable to provide protection to the electronic circuits (220).
