  • Patent number: 7879008
Abstract: The control device is used to control delivery of fluid from a fluid delivery system during a medical injection procedure. The fluid delivery system includes an injector adapted to actuate a syringe used to deliver the injection fluid to a patient. The control device is operatively associated with the injector for controlling discrete flow rates of injection fluid delivered to the patient. The control device includes a housing and an actuator associated with the housing. An electronic substrate is disposed within the housing and comprises a conductive pattern. The actuator is adapted for operative association with the conductive pattern. The conductive pattern includes a plurality of predetermined digital values corresponding to discrete flow rates of injection fluid to be delivered by the injector, such that when the actuator is actuated the actuator operatively associates with the conductive pattern for transmitting the digital values to the injector.

  • Patent number: 6453345
Abstract: A network security and surveillance system passively monitors and records the traffic present on a local area network, wide area network, or other type of computer network, without interrupting or otherwise interfering with the flow of the traffic. Raw data packets present on the network are continuously routed (with optional packet encryption) to a high-capacity data recorder to generate low-level recordings for archival purposes. The raw data packets are also optionally routed to one or more cyclic data recorders to generate temporary records that are used to automatically monitor the traffic in near-real-time. A set of analysis applications and other software routines allows authorized users to interactively analyze the low-level traffic recordings to evaluate network attacks, internal and external security breaches, network problems, and other types of network events.

  • Patent number: 5289323
Abstract: In a helical scan magnetic tape recorder, a rotary magnetic head scanner includes odd and even azimuth data reproduce heads and odd and even azimuth sense heads on the head wheel to effect automatic tracking. The odd and even azimuth sense heads establish a tracking error signal when reproduced signal envelopes are not equal. The error signal is used to control a capstan servo to maintain correct data head-to-track positioning.

  • Patent number: 4958248
Abstract: For use in a helical scan magnetic tape record/reproduce apparatus, disclosed is a rotary head scanner including a reflective tachometer/headwheel assembly. The rotary head scanner includes a plurality of magnetic record/reproduce heads mounted on a headwheel which has a reflective tachometer disposed on one side of the headwheel. A radiation source and radiation sensor are located adjacent to the reflective tachometer. The radiation sensor senses radiation reflected from the tachometer and produces a signal which is a function of the rotational position and/or rotational speed of the headwheel.
