  • Patent number: 9722448
Abstract: Aspects of a protection circuit and method are disclosed. An apparatus to transmit wireless power comprises a transmit antenna, a driver, a sensing circuit, and a control circuit. The transmit antenna generates a wireless field to charge devices. The driver powers the transmit antenna for generation of the wireless field. A power level of the wireless field is based on a power level of the driver. The sensing circuit senses wireless power received at the transmit antenna and generates a monitoring signal based on the sensed wireless power received at the transmit antenna. The control circuit controls the power level or inhibits the driver from powering the transmit antenna when the monitoring signal indicates that the transmit antenna is receiving wireless power from a foreign antenna.

  • Patent number: 9391442
Abstract: Aspects of a protection circuit and method are disclosed. A transmit circuit generates a power transmit signal for powering the transmit antenna to generate a wireless field sufficient for wirelessly charging a device. A detection circuit senses a strength of an electromagnetic field received by the transmit antenna and further configured to generate an sense signal indicating the strength of the electromagnetic field received by the transmit antenna. A power control circuit controls a switch based at least partly on the sense signal. The power control circuit can attenuate an electrical coupling between the transmit antenna and the transmit circuit such that the received electromagnetic field is inhibited from damaging the transmit antenna or the transmit circuit.

  • Patent number: 8373403
Abstract: A power supply includes circuitry for gradually enabling switching rectifiers during a startup condition without drawing current from a pre-biased power supply output. A driver provides a control signal to synchronous rectifier. A driver supply circuit is coupled across the driver and has a first input receiving pulse signals provided by a pulse modulation controller, an output providing supply voltage to the driver, a second input receiving driver supply input voltage, and circuitry defining a time constant. The circuitry includes a first switching element that turns on when pulse signals are provided and a second switching element connected to the output. The time constant is associated with a rise time for the power supply, and defined by selected component values, such that the second switching element only becomes fully conductive after elapsing of the time constant.

  • Patent number: 5049109
Abstract: Disclosed is a hog scraper paddle for dehairing and polishing hog carcasses and the like, including a resiliently flexible paddle body having a substantially rectangular block shape, said body being made of an easy-to-clean, substantially non-porous thermoplastic material having a softening temperature endotherm peak greater than about 350.degree. F. and a flexular modulus value between about 100 and 150,000 psi preferably either between about 100 and 6,000 or between about 30,000 and 150,000 psi. The paddle body may include a mounting means and openings therein for receiving the mounting means. At least one scraper blade may be attached to the paddle body for dehairing or polishing a carcass. Also disclosed is a method for making a hog scraper paddle of thermoplastic material by injection molding, compression molding, or blow molding. Post manufacturing treatments, such as annealing and heating are also disclosed.
