    Abstract: Process for removing and isolating solasodine from the aqueous-alcohol extract of fruit containing solasodine glycoside comprising removing the alcohol from said extract, precipitating impurities, precipitating said glycoside, hydrolyzing said precipitated glycoside with an acid-isopropanol mixture, and precipitating solasodine from the hydrolyzate.
