Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a method for transferring authorization information, a relay device, and a server. The method includes: receiving, by a DHCPv6 relay device, authorization information delivered by an AAA server; and inserting an option into a DHCPv6 Relay-Forward message, encapsulating the authorization information in the option, and sending the option to a DHCPv6 server. By using the technical solutions of the present application, a DHCPv6 relay device sends authorization information delivered by an AAA server to a DHCPv6 server, so that the DHCPv6 server can provide a correct configuration for a DHCPv6 client according to the authorization information delivered by the AAA server.

Abstract: A management method for network address translation includes: obtaining a network resource section of a client and using state information of the network resource section; adjusting the network resource section according to the using state information of the network resource section, where the adjusted network resource section can provide a network resource for all connections of the client; establishing a network address translation entry for each connection of the client according to the adjusted network resource section; and establishing a corresponding log record for the network resource section.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to receive a mapping rule that associates a downstream internal Internet Protocol version four (IPv4) address prefix to an upstream external IPv4 address prefix, receive a first IPv4 packet from an upstream network node with a destination address field comprising an external IPv4 address comprising the external prefix, and perform a first network address translation IPv4 to IPv4 (NAT44) process by replacing the external IPv4 address in the first IPv4 packet's destination address field with an internal IPv4 address based on the mapping rule, wherein the internal IPv4 address comprises the internal prefix and a port set identifier (ID) associated with set of destination ports at a downstream node assigned to receive the first IPv4 packet.

Abstract: A resource initialization method and system, and a network access server are provided. The resource initialization method includes: receiving a network access request transmitted from a User Equipment (UE), where the network access request includes: UE identity (ID) information; locally searching for, according to the UE ID information in the network access request, and find a preconfigured unicast and multicast resource threshold corresponding to the UE ID information; and transmitting the unicast and multicast resource threshold of the UE to a Resource Manager (RM), so that the RM assigns unicast resources and multicast resources according to the unicast and multicast resource threshold. Through the method, the process of obtaining the unicast and multicast resource threshold can be simplified, and thus the efficiency of resource initialization configuration is improved.

A network device is configured to obtain an IP address of the network device by sending a router solicitation message to an advertisement router, obtain an IP address of a network management system by sending a DHCP request message to a DHCP server; generate a static route according to the IP address of the network device, the IP address of the network management system, and an IP address of the advertisement router; and register to the network management system according to the generated static route. The network device implements an automatic discovery of a newly added IP device in an IPv6 network in the network management system, which improves network deployment efficiency.

The method of the present invention can solve the problem of the interconnection between the worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) network and the OAN broadband network, and the DSL network. An evolution approach is provided for the OAN broadband network operator and the DSL network operator to develop the WiMAX network.

A multicast packet of a multicast group is received. Node information about the egress nodes that the multicast packet needs to reach is determined, in which the egress nodes that need to be reached include the egress nodes successfully joining in the multicast group. The node information about the egress nodes that the multicast packet needs to reach is added in the multicast packet. The multicast packet carrying the node information about the egress nodes is sent out. A multicast packet forwarding apparatus and a multicast system are also provided.
