  • Patent number: 8264723
Abstract: A printing apparatus performs a printing process for a printing job including at least one print data and a series of process commands from a host apparatus. A session setup unit sets up a session with the host apparatus and other printing apparatus. A status obtaining unit obtains a status of the other printing apparatus that is in session with the printing apparatus. Upon performing the print process, a job synchronizing unit maintains a synchronization of the print job with the other printing apparatus that is in session with the printing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8248641
Abstract: A printing device is connected to a host apparatus and a lower level printing device. When the printing device receives printing target data from the host apparatus, it sends the same printing target data to the lower level printing device. A printing unit prints the printing target data on a recording medium on a page by page basis. A data-delete command issuing unit, for each printed page printed by the printing unit, issues a print data deleting command to the lower level printing device to instruct the lower level printing device to delete a portion of the printing target data corresponding to the printed page.

  • Publication number: 20090225355
Abstract: A first transmitting unit transmits print hold information to other printing apparatus connected on a downstream side in a data transmitting direction. A second transmitting unit transmits printing data from a host apparatus to the other printing apparatus. A third transmitting unit transmits page deletion information to the other printing apparatus every time a page is printed. When a printing condition cannot be satisfied, a fourth transmitting unit transmits print-disable information to the other printing apparatus, and releases a hold of the printing process in the other printing apparatus according to the print-disable information.

  • Publication number: 20090066989
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a determination unit that determines whether data indicating setting an operation mode of the image forming apparatus to an auto-restart prevention mode is received from an information processing apparatus. If such data is received, a setting unit stores the data in a mode storage unit whereby an operation mode of the image forming apparatus is set to the auto-restart prevention mode.

  • Publication number: 20080106758
Abstract: A print processing apparatus includes: a job information storage part that stores a print job ID and a number of pages finished printing regarding a print job processed by the print processing apparatus, a priority order information storage part that stores a priority order information regarding processing the print job corresponding to each of at least first and second host terminals, and a control part that issues the print job ID in a case of receiving the print data and stores the number of the pages and the print job ID in the job information storage part while processing the print job from the first host terminal. The control part processes a request for printing print data from the second host terminal and controls a processing of the print job of the first and second host terminals based on the priority order information, if the printing apparatus receives the request for printing from the second host terminal while processing the print job of the first host terminal.
