Abstract: A multipackage of a group of bottles and a bag-like or bundling device. The group of bottles are arranged in two adjacent rows and in transverse ranks perpendicular to the rows. The bag-like device is formed from a thin flexible material and essentially comprises three elements, a band portion that securely encircles the sidewall peripheral surface of the group of bottles, a bottom wall that is integrally connected between the lower edges of at least two sidewalls of the device, and an upper portion that comprises a gathered and secured arrangement of at least a pair of flaps integrally connected to the upper ends of two opposed sidewalls of the device. The gathered and secured flaps are arranged to form tensioned truss elements that extend diagonally from opposite corners of the group of bottles. The securement of the tensioned truss elements is substantially at the height of the bottle caps of the group of bottles and substantially midway between the bottles of the center rank of bottles.

Abstract: Multipackaging devices made of a resilient plastics-material such as low density polyethylene. The devices are made in strip form and are integrally interconnected longitudinally of the strip for continuous machine application to adjacent rows of containers with selective transverse severance of the applied strip to form individual packages of selected members of containers. The strip comprises a row of bands along each side thereof with intersecting and diagonally arranged substantially straight-line band segments extending between the side bands. The band segments cooperate with each other and with the side bands to define additional intermediate bands between the side bands. The strip is substantially narrower than the width of the rows of containers so that substantial transverse stretching of the strip is required to apply the side and intermediate bands to the rows of containers.

Abstract: A plastic pouring spout including a container engaging body portion with a spout portion projecting therefrom and adapted for mounting in juxtaposition to the outer surface of a container within the end confines of the container in retracted position and slidable along the container to a position with the spout portion extended beyond the adjacent end of the container; and in which extended position, the opposite elongate edges of the spout portion may be brought together relative to one another by partial separation from the remnant container engaging body portion adjacent the container end surface to reduce the size of the spout portion for pouring of the container contents into a relatively smaller recipient orifice.

Abstract: A packaged linear array of bottles or like containers having reduced neck portions with applied caps, and including a carrier of sheet plastic material having side walls diverging downwardly from an apical fold line interrupted by longitudinally spaced openings receiving the inserted neck portions with edge portions of the openings in supporting engagement beneath outward annular shoulder means as provided by the closure caps or by outward rib means on the containers below the ends of the neck portions, and further including longitudinally spaced strap elements connecting the lower edges of the side walls substantially between adjacent openings and contoured to engage adjacent surface portions of containers inserted in the carrier for stable transport and handling of the package.

Abstract: There is disclosed a package comprising a plurality of containers such as bottles, a plastic sheet material carrier member individually encircling and gripping top portions of each container and a complementary sheet material carrier member having interconnected portions, each of which encircles and grips at least two of the containers adjacent lower ends thereof.
