  • Patent number: 10332477
Abstract: A display device includes a display array and a driving circuit. The display array includes at least one scan line. The driving circuit drives the display array and includes a timing controller and a gate driver. The timing controller controls a refresh rate of the display array at a first frequency or a second frequency, where the first frequency is higher substantially than the second frequency. The gate driver switches between supplying an enable voltage signal and a disable voltage signal to the scan line. Under the first or frequency, a corresponding first or second voltage difference exists between the enable voltage signal and the disable voltage signal. The first voltage difference is substantially greater than the second voltage difference, and the enable voltage signal has a same enable period.

  • Publication number: 20180056039
Abstract: A method for tracking and positioning a magnetic catheter and a structure of a magnetic catheter are disclosed for facilitating tracking and positioning of catheters in human bodies without using electromagnetic induction as conventionally used. When electromagnetic induction and remote magnetic control are used together, their respective magnetic fields may mutually interfer, increasing the risk of operational errors of the magnetic catheters they are working on. The disclosed magnetic catheter has an elastic unit. While the magnetic catheter bends, inductance variation caused by elastic deformation of the elastic unit is measured for calculating an actual bending angle of the magnetic catheter. Then the motion of the magnetic catheter can be amended accordingly. By using calculation instead of electromagnetic tracking, mutual interference between different magnetic fields can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20180028782
Abstract: A method for controlling a magnetic catheter by using a magnetic-field-generated magnetic annulus is disclosed. The magnetic catheter has a free end provided with a magnetic member. A resultant magnetic field between at least two magnets generates a magnetic annulus. The magnetic catheter is placed into the magnetic annulus, so that the magnetic member is affected by the magnetic force from the magnetic annulus to guide the magnetic catheter to perform a preset motion. The magnetic catheter has a flexible front section, so that the flexible section can perform a bending motion when led by the magnetic member. The resultant magnetic field is generated by arranging the two magnets with their like poles facing each other, so that the magnetic member is thrust when entering the magnetic annulus. This facilitates the bending motion of the flexible section.

  • Patent number: 9177146
Abstract: A database of known graphical user interface layouts is generated using samples of known executable files. An executable file having an unknown function is obtained; it is executed within a safe environment and its graphical user interface is identified. Layout analysis enumerates all of the windows within the interface and extracts the position values of each window and the dimension values of each window to form a set of layout information. If the layout database contains this layout information set then it is determined that the layout information is of the same type of software corresponding to the type of software contained within the database (or of the type of software to which the layout information is matched within the database). A match may occur if all the windows match, if only some percentage of the windows match, or if the windows do not match exactly but the dimensions of the corresponding window in the database are within a certain percentage.

  • Patent number: 9152791
Abstract: Lists of keywords by type are collected that are associated with fake antivirus software. One more rules are created including the keywords that likely indicate fake antivirus software. The keywords and rules are stored in a local database on a computer. Each executing process of a computer is scanned using the rules. A match indicates that the scanned process is likely fake antivirus software. A check is then performed to determine if the scanned process is actually legitimate antivirus software (using a digital certificate, a white list, or a call to a function). If the check fails a determination is made that the identified process is fake antivirus software. The process may then be displayed, cleaned, quarantined, or permanently removed from the computer. The cursor may be dragged into the window of an executing process in order to selectively scan that process only. Or, any number of executing processes may be selected to be scanned by the rules.

  • Patent number: 9117078
Abstract: Creating a policy to be used by a malware prevention system uses multiple events triggered by malware. A sample of malicious computer code or malware is executed in a computer system having a kernel space and a user space. Event data relating to multiple events caused by the malicious code executing on the computer system are captured and stored. The event data is configured using a specific property that facilitates malware behavior analysis. A behavior list is then created utilizing the multiple events and associated event data. The behavior list, together with data in a malware behavior database, is used to derive a policy for use in a malware prevention system. The computer system is free of any malicious code, including viruses, Trojan horses, or any other unwanted software code. The malicious computer code executes without any constraints so that the execution behavior of the malicious code may be observed and captured.

  • Patent number: 8601584
Abstract: A computer is protected from argument switch attacks by intercepting a function call to terminate a process. The function call and a handle used as an argument in the function call are forwarded by an antivirus system service descriptor table to an antivirus. The antivirus is configured to evaluate the function call to determine whether or not the function call is terminating an antivirus process. A consistent handle table includes a listing of handles of processes employed as arguments in function calls that terminate processes and are approved by the antivirus. Instructions that close a handle are detected by the antivirus, which compares the handle to those in the consistent handle table. The antivirus blocks those instructions that close a handle that is included in the consistent handle table.

  • Patent number: 8531374
Abstract: A compensation circuitry of gate driving pulse signal is adapted to receive a gate driving pulse signal and includes a pre-processing circuit, a peak detector, a discharge circuit, a voltage buffer and a charge pump circuit. The pre-preprocessing circuit performs a pre-processing operation to the gate driving pulse signal to adjust a voltage thereof. The pre-processed gate driving pulse signal then is transmitted to the peak detector for obtaining a peak voltage after a charging operation, and also is transmitted to the discharge circuit to determine whether to enable the discharge circuit so that providing the peak detector with a discharge loop when the discharge circuit is enabled. The charge pump circuit acquires the peak voltage through the voltage buffer and then modulates a waveform of the gate driving pulse signal according to the peak voltage. A display device using the above compensation circuitry also is provided.
