  • Patent number: 6206706
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an elongate insulative housing and a plurality of terminals. The housing forms an engaging slot and a plurality pairs of passageways exposed to the engaging slot for receiving corresponding terminals therein. Each terminal forms a plurality of fixing sections on a middle section thereof. The fixing sections are spaced from each other a distance whereby a possible buckling of the terminal when inserting it into the housing is prevented. An obstruction portion comprising a folded portion and a pair of projections is formed on the terminal proximate a circuit board for inhibiting wicking of flux. A spacing recess is formed in the housing opposite the engaging slot and proximate a circuit board. A pair of positioning posts is formed on a bottom surface of the housing proximate the spacing recess for engaging with corresponding holes formed in the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 6165008
Abstract: An electrical connector for a flexible flat cable comprises a dielectric housing defining an elongate slot, a number of terminals retained in the housing, a shield enclosing the housing, and a stuffer inserted into the slot for biasing an inserted flexible flat cable into contact with the terminals. Each terminal has a tail portion for connecting with a signal conductor of the inserted cable. The shield comprises a pressing plate extending into the slot of the housing. The pressing plate connects with a bottom wall of the shield via a pair of linkers and is parallel to the bottom wall. Each linker is trapezoidal in shape. Each linker connects with the pressing plate at a first junction portion having a small width and with the bottom wall of the shield at a second junction portion having a large width, thereby preventing a top wall of the shield from upwardly deflecting relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 6033236
Abstract: A plug connector (10) includes an insulative elongated housing (12) defining an elongated cavity (14) therein along the lengthwise direction. The depth of the cavity (14) is relatively smaller than the full dimension of the height of the housing (12). The housing (12) defines a plurality of passageways (18) extending along the height direction and the front end portion of each passageway (18) inwardly communicates with the cavity (14). Oppositely, the remaining most lower portion of each passageway (18) is exposed to an exterior laterally. Thus, a plurality of elongated contacts (24) are adapted to be insertably received within the corresponding passageways (18), respectively, wherein the front portion (36) of each contact (24) is inwardly exposed to the cavity (14) and the remaining portion (26) of the contact (24) is outwardly exposed to an exterior on two sides of the housing (12).

  • Patent number: 5895164
Abstract: A paper binding device includes a base, two binding ring assemblies, a pull plate, and a bottom plate. By causing the pull plate to displace forwardly and rearwardly in the center of the base, positioning pins on the pull plate may displace in corresponding guide slots of the binding ring assemblies to force the binding ring assemblies to open or close. The pull plate further has stop pieces that may firmly secure the binding ring elements in position when the binding ring assemblies are in a closed state. The pull plate effectively eliminates the problem of small open angle with conventional paper binding devices which make it difficult to bind papers.
