Abstract: Methods and apparatus for processing data packets originated from a mobile computing device to destinations at a wireless network node. The wireless network node receives an access request from the mobile computing device for the data packet transmission to the destinations and determines an identifier of the mobile computing device. The wireless network node then determines whether the identifier is in a wireless network node database. When the identifier is not in the wireless network node database, the wireless network node suspends to process data packets received from the mobile computing device and communicates with a server to determine whether status of the mobile computing device in a server database is the first state.

Abstract: A method of inspection or metrology of four sides of a sample is disclosed. The method includes providing samples in a carrier at a first side of an imaging tool and moving the samples from the carrier to the imaging tool via a pick-and-place stage assembly. The method includes imaging first and second sides of the samples via first and second channels of the imaging tool and returning the samples to the carrier. The method includes rotating the carrier by 90 degrees and translating the carrier to an opposite side of the imaging tool and moving the samples individually from the carrier to the imaging tool. The method includes imaging a third and fourth side of the sample via the first and second channel of the imaging tool and returning the one or more samples from the imaging tool to the carrier.

Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for managing an error correction mode at a first communications router. The first communication router transmits data packets to a second communications router and stores the first data packet in a local storage medium. When a delay inquiry message is received from the second communications router, the first communications router activates the error correction mode. When the error correction mode is activated, the first data packet is retransmitted to the second communications router and an error correction packet corresponding to the first data packet is also transmitted. When a back-to-normal message is received from the second communications router, the first communications router deactivates the error correction mode. The back-to-normal message indicates that the first communications router no longer needs to be in error correction mode.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and system for configuring an electronic device through a management device. When the management device is coupled to the electronic device and the electronic device is not able to communicate with a server, the method and system detect an identity of the electronic device and configure the electronic device according to the identity with a configuration. The configuration may further comprise authentication information, routing policy, energy policy and any information to configure the electronic device or to configure the management device for electronic device. The method and system also allow the electronic device to send data to and to receive data from the server through the management device. The method and system may also diagnose the electronic device before configuring the electronic device.

Abstract: A universal material tester with two or more consecutively arranges test units has a test tool supporting carriage, which is provided with a removable partition that allows conversion of the test-unit installation socket from a multiple test unit holder into a single test-unit holder, or vice versa. An advantage of the tester is a possibility of expanding dynamic range of measurements by using two or more test units, which are installed in series at one setting and can be used in sequential tests without replacement but with different measurement ranges. This broadens the dynamic measurement ranges and allows revealing material properties otherwise unattainable. The test units may be combined with an imaging device installed in series with the test tools that engage the sample physically.

Abstract: A novel shoulder brace that can provide active dynamic support to an injured shoulder while providing the capability to also raise the attached arm and support the arm in an elevated position. The brace can be used both in conjunction with a rehabilitation intervention program to maintain or restore range of motion and strength and to assist in functional tasks at work and at home. The brace works by supporting a locking or ratchet mechanism connected to an arm cuff from a chest piece that, when desired, the user can move the arm connected to an injured shoulder and supported by the arm cuff from a normal side resting position to an elevated position 90 degrees from the resting position while transferring the load created by the arm and whatever the hand is holding back to the chest piece and to the torso of the user. A release mechanism can be used to release the locking or ratchet mechanism to let the user lower their arm back to a resting position.

Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for selecting at least one SIM card for data communication at a wireless communication device which is capable of housing a plurality of SIM cards. When a switching condition is satisfied, the wireless communication device selects a second SIM card group, and disconnects one or more connections established using any non-second group SIM card. Non-second group SIM cards are SIM cards that are not in the second SIM card group. A selected SIM card from the second SIM card group is then used for data communications. The steps are repeated until (i) the switching condition is no longer satisfied, (ii) no more SIM cards selected from the second SIM card group can be used for data communications or (iii) no more connection is made using non-second group SIM cards.

Abstract: Methods and systems for sharing data usage by a plurality of SIM cards at a plurality of network devices are disclosed. Each of the plurality of network devices is capable of housing at least one SIM card from the plurality of SIM cards. The method comprises the steps of determining the total data usage allowance. A remaining total data usage allowance is determined by either retrieving it from a carrier server or by subtracting aggregated data usage information from the total data usage allowance. The method further comprises restricting use of one or more of the plurality of SIM cards when the remaining total data usage allowance is below a first threshold until the remaining total data usage allowance is above the first threshold. The total data usage allowance is changed to a first value periodically or according to an administrator's instruction.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method carried out at a network device for restarting one or more components of the network device, comprising the steps of monitoring whether at least one condition has been satisfied at any component of the network device. If at least one condition satisfied, one or more components are restarted of the network device, based, at least in part, on the at least one condition. When the network device has been restarted a management server is informed that one or more components of the network device have been restarted. According to the present invention, whether a configuration has been received for the network device is determined from a user or administrator at the management server. When a configuration has been received the configuration is retrieved from the management server. The network device is then configured with the configuration retrieved.

Abstract: A network-based service is disclosed for disambiguating search queries based on a location-based clustering of search results corresponding to the query. In one embodiment, a user may submit a query for travel items, such as hotel accommodations. The service can determine, based on the query, an initial set of hotels providing such accommodations. The service can then cluster the hotels according to their geographic positions. If the service identifies multiple clusters, the user can be prompted to select a specific cluster to receive additional information regarding the cluster. Illustratively, if a user submits a query for a hotel in “Springfield,” the service may ask the user to select among multiple clusters of results, each corresponding to a different city named “Springfield” in which results have been located.

Abstract: A method of forming a protective film on at least one electronic module is provided. The method includes the following steps. A protective material is disposed on at least one electronic module such that the protective material and the electronic modules are in contact with each other. The electronic modules and the protective material disposed on the electronic modules are disposed in a chamber, and a first ambient pressure is provided in the chamber. The protective material in the chamber is heated to a first temperature to soften the protective material disposed on the electronic modules. After the protective material is softened, a second ambient pressure greater than the first ambient pressure is provided in the chamber, wherein a gas in the chamber directly pressurizes the protective material such that the protective material conformally covers a top of the electronic modules.
