  • Patent number: 6745616
Abstract: In advance to measuring texture of the workpiece by a surface texture measuring machine (1), a workpiece orientation adjustment stage (10) is manually moved by the surface texture measuring machine (1) in accordance with calculated orientation correction amount of the workpiece, thus adjusting orientation of the workpiece. Since it is only necessary for an operator to operate respective adjustment means until reaching a displayed correction amount, operation thereof can be facilitated and orientation thereof can be highly accurately adjusted without impairing operability.

  • Patent number: 6671973
Abstract: A method of adjusting the relative attitude of a work in a surface texture measuring instrument for measuring the work having a feature region includes a measurement step of performing measurement of the feature region along an X-axis direction after positioning a detector in a Y-axis direction and the X-axis direction, a determination step of repeating the measurement which is performed while changing the position in the X-axis direction, and a step of adjusting the attitude of the work on the basis of the amount of relative attitude correction. Therefore, the direction of the feature region in the work is adjusted so as to be parallel to the Y axis.

  • Patent number: 6466884
Abstract: A surface texture measuring machine includes a vertical V-axis column D, a vertically movable table E, a horizontal X-axis guide 17 and a slider 18 disposed on the vertically movable table E, a probe C attached to the slider 18, a V-axis detector 13, a displacement detector 27, an X-axis detector 74, and a control device CPU. The control device CPU calculates the amount of a bending deformation in the X-axis direction at the height of the X-axis guide 17, from a height signal from the V-axis detector 13 and a displacement amount signal from the X-axis detector 74, and sets a value that is obtained by subtracting the bending deformation amount from the X-axis direction displacement amount, as an X-axis displacement in measurement.

  • Patent number: 6318110
Abstract: A facility including an inclined plane for sliding for which snow is used, a snow producing apparatus for producing snow from water and supplying the snow to the facility, and an air jet apparatus for forming an air roof by air flow so that the air roof covers space over the facility, are provided. The air roof covers space over the facility for which artificial snow is used, thus making the building of a roof and the like unnecessary and lowering building costs. The inside of the facility is opened to the fresh air by stopping the supply of air for forming the air roof, which makes special equipment for measures against exhaust gas unnecessary.
