  • Patent number: 5858379
Abstract: The use of a hydrophobic oleogel of essentially temperature-independent viscosity and consistency as a carrier base substance in an adhesive for dental prostheses is disclosed. The hydrophobic oleogel here is preferably a viscous paraffin in combination with amorphous polyethylene, with physical properties resulting from its preparation.

  • Patent number: 5015408
Abstract: Cleaning tablet for the automatic cleaning of dentures in an aqueous solution, with a content of sodium hydrogen carbonate and/or sodium carbonate or carbonates, citric acid or citrate or citrates, sodium perborate, potassium monopersulphate, surfactants and foam forming agents, binders, lubricants and disintegrants, antimicrobial agents, carriers, flavoring/aromatizing substances, at least one perborate/peroxide activator and at least one phosphorus compound, characterized in that the activator content is between 0.5 and 3.0% by weight of the total composition of the cleaning tablet, is the phosphorus compound is includes at least one hydrolysis-stable organic phosphonic acid and/or a salt thereof that acts as a stabilizing agent and having a content between 0.5 and 3.0% by weight of the total composition of the cleaning tablet and that the total composition of the cleaning tablet is free from inorganic phosphates/polyphosphates and organic sequestrants based on aminocarboxylic acids and hydrophobic binders.

  • Patent number: 4256599
Abstract: A two layered cleansing tablet for the self-acting cleansing of dentures. The layers of the tablet disintegrate at controlled rates so that denture cleansing action is made more efficient and effective compared to single layered tablet structures. The present tablet employs sulfonic acid in the tablet layer which disintegrates in a first stage cleansing step and further employs ethylene diamine tetraacetate in both tablet layers. Improved denture cleansing action is achieved even with no increase in the total amount of active agents employed in a tablet.

  • Patent number: 4217234
Abstract: A fast-acting (3-5 min.) denture-cleansing tablet for use in aqueous solutions to automatically clean dentures is comprised of a mixture containing gas-forming materials, organic and inorganic calcium bonding materials, oxidizing materials, surfactant materials, carriers, lubricants and flavoring materials. Fast cleansing action and short decomposition times are obtained by including amidosulfonic acid, ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid, dialkyl thiourea, and a non-ionogenic fluorochemical material in an amount sufficient to achieve a pH in a 1% solution of such formulation in water of 6.3 to 6.5.
