  • Patent number: 8718895
Abstract: A method is described in which the wheel pressure in an electronically controlled motor vehicle brake system is determined. The brake system includes inlet valves and outlet valves in the wheel circuits. At least one of the valves allows adjusting the valve current. The basis for this are previously determined calibration values which describe the opening current behavior of the outlet valve. A verification of the wheel pressure is performed during a wheel pressure control operation by briefly opening the outlet valve of one brake circuit. The current prevailing in this case can be taken into account as an indicator for determining the wheel pressure.

  • Publication number: 20130147260
Abstract: A method for controlling the pressure in a hydraulic system in an electronically regulated motor vehicle brake system, including controlling the pressure using an analogized solenoid valve, and controlling the valve such that it moves into a partially open state, modulating the coil current (I) of the valve by alternation between a first (I1) and a second current value (I2). The solenoid valve held in the closed state by means of a coil current (I) corresponding to the first current value (I1). A third current value (I3) is provided for the coil current which lies between the first and second current values (I1, I2) and, during energization phases (Tp1, Tp1, Tp1) of the solenoid valve. The coil current (I) is modulated by alternation between the second current value (I2) and the third current value (I3) with the amplitude (A) predefined by the third current value (I3) and a predefined frequency.

  • Patent number: 8215722
Abstract: A method shall render it possible that an especially favorable pilot control can be achieved with an electrically controllable hydraulic valve (10), in particular an analog/digital inlet valve of a friction brake of a motor vehicle brake system. To this end, an actuating current is applied to the hydraulic valve (10), which is determined by linking an available opening current characteristic curve (Iopen(?P)table) of the hydraulic valve (10) to a correction value (igrad), with the correction value (igrad) being predetermined depending on a number of parameters that are characteristic of the hydraulic valve (10).

  • Publication number: 20100090521
Abstract: Method in which an electromagnetic valve in an electronically controlled pressure control device is calibrated, wherein the differential pressure prevailing at the valve which is to be calibrated is modulated periodically, and wherein the electrical signal which is present at the valve coil of the valve is evaluated at the valve coil or at an additional measuring coil for the purpose of calibration. Also disclosed is an electronically controlled motor vehicle brake pressure control device in which the above method can be carried out.

  • Publication number: 20070252098
Abstract: The invention describes a method and a pressure control device for the valve calibration of an analog controlling, electrically actuatable hydraulic valve (2, 2?, 3, 3?, 3?, 3??) in a device with at least one externally supplied pressurization unit (1, 1?) and with pressure sensors (9, 10, 10?, 10?, 10??), with said device comprising several pressure control circuits (A, B, C, D) and in particular several brake circuits (I., II.), and with at least some pressure control circuits being connected to a pressure sensor associated with this circuit and to inlet and outlet valves. In this method, several calibration routines are performed to generate and store automatically established calibration data, and during or prior to each calibration routine, the externally supplied pressurization unit (1, 1?) produces pressure in at least one pressure control circuit (A, B, C, D), and calibration data is recorded for one or several analog controlling hydraulic valves by using the pressure that has built up.

  • Publication number: 20070112537
Abstract: The described method and computer program product for calibrating one or more electrically actuated hydraulic valves of analog operation render it possible to facilitate the provision of precise actuation characteristic curves in a controlled motor vehicle brake system. To achieve this aim, at least one or respectively one characteristic curve is initially predetermined during the operation of a brake device, and the predetermined actuation characteristic curve is corrected using a learning method during driving of the vehicle.
